You are partially correct. Here are seven reasons why I think the reversal, which is in the form of a two legged spike, will morph into a bull channel. It did. The tight channel with much less of a slope than the spike reversal ended up being a SPBL TREND with is one of the strongest trends there are and can go on the entire session when one starts. Sometimes there will be a deeper PB around 1 to 2 central time but it usually resumes up into the close.I think you did the long trade because the price crossed with force the moving averages of 20 and 50 in graph of 5 and 15 and 30 minutes, am I right?
Because of all the 7 reasons on the chart I am willing to not only go long but to average down all the way to or just through the 20EMA. In a spike once you get a pb with some sideways action the trend is now no longer a spike reversal but it is entering a bull channel phase. Thus I am confident to average down and build a long position as this has a 75% chance of becoming a bull channel. So thus I did.
