We work from coarse to fine and Advanced beginner, roughly speaking is still coarse.
we are not doing rules for this or rules for that. But you will find the symbol voabulary remains the same for established columns.
In your learning, you will find the new column emphasis is on the places where noise comes into the picture. An arrow in the symbol shows this. The down arrow is TELLING YOU that the signal has DECREASED and you have to keep your eyes peeled. Sensory input is only 10% of the story, work smart gives you the focussed "inference" you need to stay on the RIGHT side of the market.
No Chnage of sides is required until we switch to make money on each separate traverse segment.
You do trades "late" at this point. Lets stay with that for now. I will bring you closer and closer to the pivot on traverse reversals by easing you to better timing as your sensitivity warrants. There is no point in trading too soon after trading too late. we are not learning to ride a pendulum at this point.
So look for some annotations in the "traverse mode on two charts. One is from WGTrader and the other was done by Romanus. Both these people are experienced and probably getting ready for using leaing indicators of the ES. That is a foriegn language here at this point.

The carryover retains fractal and traverse integrity. you have the fractal level integrity from the get go, so you keep reinforcing this integrity and it gets more and more differentiated.
The new log columns are designed to improve this kind of integrity.
These posts begin a new part of your learning curve so put in a spacer made of colored paper or better still half a folder cut and punched to 11 inches tall and severed along the original fold. It is a two for one deal and one tap can say BEGINNER and everything behind it is beginner stuff you printed and stapled into groups for tabbing by topic.
by doing advanced beginner you repeat every part of beginner as well. That is how the levels of SCT work. I will post a cover for your learning file soon. It shows the learning curve in levels, time and quantitatively.

In advanced beginner for today we are trading traverses and the day started with one that retraced the overnight gap. We do not log things like retraces of overnight gaps but the preflight check gets that context clear before the day begins.
I did a little squashing of the chart.
The next chart did not do the carryove soe the Beginnner FTT occurs later.
IN ANY CASE THE MIDDLE FRACTAL TRADING OF TRAVERSES IS UNAFFECTED.
Either way the advanced beginner has the outer shell of the channel fractal in his picture.
An important aspect of traveres is that they are affected by volume in a relatively greater way than channels are, relatively speaking. So the VE of traverses must be noted. It is by ADV in the TR-T column. VE's are symbols in the CH-T column and they are concurrent and reinforcing to the ADV's in the TR-T column. you will see how the volume symbols step in as well. P CHG may be an up arrow as VE and ADV are occurring.
This sets the scene for anticipating what comes next on the LTL, the focus of Advance beginner trading where dominant traverses end.

What if many many people start using your logs and annotating competence? What happens when they start teaching others like the medical model works? things happen all over. They are happening all over and you are getting ready to pass it forward. You need your actual experience done with good house keeping to show them how.

In bootcamp folder area of computer make a separate folder for beginner and advanced beginner. It will get hairy when we get to intellectual levels on SCT trading.
This is still boot camp grunt level @ 15 trades a day. The ATR is still ging to be nice as we go through a REDO of the financial industry and a REDO of the regulatory Agencies. We will also have the criminal proceeding to help the ATR along.
you are working to annotate fully and log fully. As you press forward working smart you will be able to fill rows in ahead of time after a while. I will suggest things to enhance you're doing this at the right time.
At some point SCT traders move to the right of NOW on the chart. And for Advance Beginner you begin to draw lines on the log to close out historical data that does not fit into your MADA window width on the chart. This is all part of working smart.
Note it is 5pm here. I have a 3 hour cardiac recovery session from 6 to 9pm tonight.
I feel I have set you up for tomorrow. My time tomorrow is limited and they put me out perhaps and I am on narcs after that plus I have limited movement and dressing changes etc...
Just work smart and do the MODE on traverse level inside of the Channel envelope we established. Start with 1 contract so we can do a family of seven curves later.
Do not go live with contracts until you have Advance beginner in hand as well as you did the 10 days of beginner.

I will endeavour to cement working smart as the baseline, and use that as the springboard from which to advance knowledge, skills and understanding.
I will post serial charts and logs of the previous week (in 2-traverse slices), and when complete, I will repeat the process for the current week. By the end of this process, I'll also have the minimum requirement for a lookup table.
