Technical Strategy

Quote from Neoxx:

Absolutely. But then again, there's also Trader E, who just trades the long channel diagonal (1 trade) for ~1xATR....

Well (again for posterities sake) there is a difference between a channel and a traverse (on the 5 minute fractal). Perhaps it is just semantics. But for the 5 minute fractal, the trader you describe might have entered short @ bar 42 on 12/11/2008 (PT1 of the down channel with PT3 of this channel occuring @ bar 81 on 12/12/2008) and would still be holding short until sometime early on tomorrow, when price BO's the RTL on IBV (the anticipation thing). :D

P.S. I meant no offence (or hidden meaning) regarding the RHR comment (it was a poor attempt at humor). We have already discussed my current lack of fitness so I am in no position to speak. :)

Quote from Jack Hershey
This level of trading approximates the advanced beginner level where traverses of channels are traded using a reversal orientation at FTT.

Health and Fitness

Great workout on the water-rower, 30 minutes with warm-up and warm-down. Plan is alt days for 2/52, then daily for 2/52, switching it up with alt day intervals, then mixing in running. Weekly massage wouldn't go amiss either.

Lateral retrace underway, awaiting P3 of long traverse.

Upped the difficulty to Medium. Will post a session summary every time the score maxes out.

Got that glycogen-depleted feeling. Gonna have an early lunch.

The heavy machinery next door (which over the past six months has transformed from a residential building to a construction site) is particularly noisy today.
