Teacher shot by her 6 year old student in critical condition

Very problematic after reading the below about the school teacher being shot in Virginia. A metal detector...you just walk through it. Why in the fuck would a school have a metal detector and then "check randomly" ???
Maybe they only had a security guard with one of those hand-held (portable) metal detection devices. They are known to slow down the entry/exit of secure buildings but securing a building will not work if the school is randomly checking students.
Then again, maybe the school is located in a very tough area and there have been problems in the past with students bringing weapons to school. If that's the situation for that particular school...they should not be using "random" checks.
Simply, you must check every student and every person that enters/exits the school.

Well, let's not forget this is an elementary school. You normally would not suspect a 6 yo child to carry a gun. They probably focused solely on adults entering the school.

cons alsways blaming the victims for not preparing correctly for a 6 year old bring a gun to school but not one word about the gun or the parents... typical..

If I was the Sheriff and the question was asked " I am going to make sure those parents go to to prison, lose their child and get sued into poverty. Own a gun....be responsible or lose everything like that teacher almost did. Prison! Guns are the easy culprit. However, we all know that's complete rubbish. Likely this comes down to one of three possibilities:
1. The child was non-white and the teacher, clearly a white liberal, was probably teaching CRT. Therefore, she and all the other white students were oppressors so the kid felt a gun was necessary to end the oppression.
2. The parents did not force the child to say the Pledge of Allegiance within the past 24 hours. Good fathers like Eric Trump force this and the Lord's Prayer on their children every night at home without missing a day.
3. The evil liberal teacher confused the kid about his gender and he simply didn't know how to handle it.
