I know you're just trolling, but some people don't seem to get the point of this. It comes down to a question of who is entitled to set the agenda for inculcating values into young children. Is it parents and voters or is it a homosexual teacher and assistant principal? We are not talking high school students. These were third graders. Parents have a legitimate interest in not having young children sexualized at school or fed gay propaganda.
It has nothing to do with inclusion, respect for minorities or any other buzzwords. To the extent any of those concerns are valid, they could be addressed without force feeding young children propaganda that directly contradicted many of their parents' deeply held religious principles.
As an aside, it is stupefying that the school board could not immediately rule that this odious book and anything similar are totally inappropriate for elementary school kids. When liberals wring their hands and wonder why there isn't more support for public schools and their always growing demands for money, remember this episode. If they cannot make a rational decision on something this simple, why would we want to trust them with more resources?
