09:35 Hey, flag this! Down 3 ¾ x 12

Empty large glass containing diet orange soda – fill glass with Jack, drop in 5 Alka-Seltzer tablets.

09:41 4 – 27 Moving Average cross – Short 12 contracts.

Open second pack of smokes.

09:51 Cross this, you son of a bitch – down 4 ½ x 12

Refill large glass with more Jack – add 5 more Alka-Seltzer tablets – finish bag of potato chips.

10:14 Major Support – Long 12 contracts

Pop 7 Rolaids – eat 2 packages of “Ding-Dongs”

10:33 Long gone – down 3 x 12

Refill large glass with more Jack, add last 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets – finish last package of “Ding-Dongs” – open third package of smokes.

Call Mom’s. And order large pizza with double cheese – refill large glass with what’s left in the bottle of Jack – pop 5 Rolaids

Nothing unusual to report. Down a total of 210 ES points on the morning.
 
The End Of An Era?

In what can only be described as a startling announcement, the prolific keeper of the Journal known as tampa’s short skirt trades announced at a press conference today that he was calling it quits!

Veteran Elite Trader members expressed shock and dismay when informed of the announcement. One member, Mister zork was in tears as he said: “Say it ain’t so, Joe”. Mister Subliminal was quoted as saying: “I will miss it (like a toothache).”

Throngs of loyal readers gathered outside of the Journal chanting: “We want tampa, we want tampa”. But informed sources tell the skirt that the author has made up his mind, and that he has posted his last entry. Skeptics pointed out that this is the 5th time that tampa has “called it quits”, but those close to the popular author insist that he really, really means it this time.

At the press conference, tampa was quoted as saying: “Enough is enough. I want to devote my time to spending the vast fortune I earned while trading.” At that point, he was interrupted as an assistant handed him what appeared to be a margin call. He was then overheard telling the young man to “put it on the stack with the others”.

During the months that tampa’s short skirt trades was published, many readers questioned just how much of it was true, and how much was pure fabrication. When pressed on the issue, tampa would only say: “Believe what you want to believe – disregard what you want to disregard”. With that, tampa got into a car driven by a man witnesses said appeared to be 40yotrader, and drove off into the night.

Magna The Wise, moderator of the Journal Section on ET, shook his head slowly and said: “Things will never be the same around here. I fear for the longevity of the board, now that we have lost one of the great ones”. inandlong a former Proctologist turned moderator, said: “He was a pain in the ass at times, but I’m used to dealing with that.” Gordon Gekko said: “I’m glad that he’s gone. I hope he never comes back. He said I was a fuck up, you know. And I hate him. He is a bad man. I’m not a fuck up, I’m just going through a drawdown, that’s all.” traderkay was quoted as saying: “the guy was a loser, a low down dirty loser. I mean I’m a loser, but he was really a loser. I kept trying to tell people that, but no one would listen to me.” Baron owner of the venerable Elite Trader said: “Good riddance, I was going to ban him anyway. I can’t talk now, I’ve got to get back to the office and ban some more people. Got anyone you want me to ban? Send me a PM, and I’ll put them on the list.”

With tampa’s departure, only 744 active Journals remain.
 
40yotrader wouldn't be caught dead riding in a car with a 60's hippie. Us Wharton yuppie's wouldn't want to get near a Jack kind of drinker (Aberlour or possibly some lowly Glenfiddich maybe).

Maybe it's time for a "non-manly cry".:D

Oh well, I did love your preoccupation with me and a very entertaining journal. No doubt you'll return as some other character on this board.

i know you're somewhat joking, but i'm not like that. i wouldn't ask for anyone to leave ET, i don't hate you, and i don't know you enough to say you're not a good man.
