To heck with the trading info.

Your irreverent (and irrelevant) and self-deprecating garbage is funny as hell. :D

C'mon back and fix a brutha up!

Quote from tampa:

It seemed that all was lost. The Sheriff was out front auctioning off my house. The bank had just repossessed my car. The wife had left, moving back to her mother’s house. I was left standing there with the proceeds from my once six-figure trading account – a check for $13.59, and it’s Saturday, so the bank is closed, and I can’t even cash it!

Dejected, a broken man, a washed out trader, I walked down to the blood bank – my third trip this week. Selling almost my last drop of life’s nectar, I proceeded to the 7-11 to buy a loaf of bread, and a jar of peanut butter to sustain me for a few days.

So I did what any trader would do, I spent the money on scratch-off lottery tickets – 15 of them.

The first 11 yielded some two dollars. The last three, nothing. So I cashed in the two winners for two more tickets. And with God smiling down on me, it happened. A $2,500.00 winner! Enough to get me back in the game – and enough for that loaf of bread, and the jar of peanut butter. It’s a miracle, a sign from above.

It will be different when the market opens on Monday, I just know that it will.

Well, it took forever, but my broker (IB) FINALLY credited my account with the two-grand I sent in! ( Can you believe that it took over three weeks to clear a perfectly good 7-11 Money order!?!)

So I started trading about three weeks ago – influenced by my new hero, Mister Jack Hershey. So far the results ain’t been too bad, but I have put on 38 pounds popping his damn Kisses. (Mister Hershey said to KISS, and since I have had trouble understanding a lot of his dictates, I figured I’d double up on the rules I could understand.)

To be on the safe side, I replaced the lock of W.D. Gann’s hair with a lock of Mister Hershey’s. I can’t say for sure, but it seems to have done the trick. Here’s the bottom line: Plus 20 ¼ points over the last three weeks ( without a losing day ).

Scoff is you’d like, but I’ll bet it’s better than a lot of you guys did. Of course my Wizard’s Hat, Cape with hand embroidered stars and moons on it, the Garlic Necklace to ward off evil spirits, and the locket containing a few of Mister Hershey’s hairs give me an edge that is all but impossible to quantify.

While I am pleased, the wife is thrilled! So much so that she has begun to talk to me once more, and even allows me to sleep in our bedroom again (just on the floor for the time being).

I ran the numbers, and at this rate I can expect to clear something better than 17 grand over the next year. So I’ve decided to get rid of my Apple II+, and upgrade to a Dell Precision 450 computer (http://catalog.us.dell.com/CS1/CS1Page2.aspx?cs=555&br=6&fm=10330 ) with an X-Top 18” eight screen digital flat monitor setup. (http://www.9xmedia.com/pages-Build_a_system/X-Top_Expert---4_over_4.html ) The whole thing should only run about $25K – give or take a handful of ES handles. I haven’t mentioned it to the wife yet, but I’m sure she won’t mind.

Anyway, I’ve got to get ready for the opening in the morning, and I want to reread a few of Mister Hershey’s posts ( even though they make my head hurt) before the bell rings. I’ll let you know how things go.

Sure she won't. Rent an IMAX theatre instead of these small 2-D panels! You know, 3-D charting, mutli-dimensional scanning, seeing a broad deep market scope is a trader's heaven! :)

hmmm...

...wonder what that would cost...

No time to post tonight.

I misplayed the big one this morning, and ended up down 1/4 on the day.

I tried to cancel the new computer system, but they had already shipped!

I'm on my way outside to change the house numbers before the UPS guy gets here.

More later.

Blew another "Rocket" this morning - walked away with 1 1/2 when I should have had at least 5 - damn-it.

So let's talk Jack:

Am I learning anything? Yes - tons of things.

Is it worth the effort? Yes, in my opinion - and to be sure, it takes a lot of effort.

Are Jack's claims realistic? Yes. Perhaps slightly exaggerated, but not by much.

So why ain't you doing better? Because I am not staying in the trades long enough. Jack is getting me into good trades, but the devil is taking me out of them. Look at how dawg is doing - he is much better at hanging on (much to my shame and disgust).

Is Jack as hard to understand as everyone says? Yes, but it's not impossible.

Is he really teaching anything that's new? There is nothing new under the sun, but he is teaching me a new way of seeing things.

Would you recommend Jack's work to others? Only if you are prepared to throw out everything you think you know, and then actually trade the method.

now, what was it again?

ps - tampa, did you hear the good news?

I think the MACD adjustments I made on Tampa will easily drive him to being a millionaire. -- jack hershey
