Have you ever run one of these algos that you so easily share with us live? You assume that you can get out break even when a trade doesn't work, but in reality, if you have a limit order, price will blow right past you, and if you have a stop order, your fill might be ticks away. Your algo only works in fantasy world.
It sure gets confusing at times on ET, dang difficult knowing who the bullshitters are, it's not easy.
Noah - SunTrader - themickey - you are all welcome to come into a Zoom Room - we can talk about Slippage - and other things. If that sounds fair - then I will set up the room. Each of you would need to send me a Private Message in ET - I will send you the link. I don't want a bunch of other traders coming into the room. We need to arrange a time - my lady is doing Christmas stuff - and if I am NOT doing something else - I will have to help her. Actually - you three - could become my Saviors - get me out of work.
By the way - I use Market Orders for Entry. How do I get rid of Slippage - on Entry - great question - if that is your question. I don't want to give away too much information - but I will offer some. I do include Slippage in the results. Think about this - I want a certain Price - on Entry - so in the Code - to get rid of Slippage - as much as possible - it will do the following.
Say I want to Buy the ES - at 4572.50 - the Code will wait until Price - Backs Up to a Better Entry Price - X number of Ticks - then goes in on a Market Order. It might get the Same Price - 4572.50 - a Better Price - 4572.25 - or even a Worse Price - 4573.00. Does that make sense? Whatever the "X number of Ticks" - is set at - this helps get rid of Slippage. Having said that - I always put in MORE Slippage that needed.
I don't want to get too deep into talking about the Code here - as I don't want to give anything away. If my offer sounds fair - then contact me again - PRIVATE in ET.

lol I’ll say it, I’m 100% certain that @VSTscalper ‘s real pnl is quite different than his “strategy backtest” shows. I am sure he has “clients” paying for his “algo” and some chat room, and I’d guess he makes far more money selling his “secrets” than he does trading them.
