Switzerland May Give Every Citizen $2,600 a Month

Every other developed country is printing money hand over fist and the Swiss have a hard time keeping a cap on their currency if they don't do something stupid, too. If they do this, it'll probably be with money they create out of air and not borrow it.
 
Maybe this kind of thing, adopted widely, could usher in a change to societies of the magnitude seen when labor specialization (and so civilization) arose from agriculture and grain surpluses.

But that would depend on how most use their free time, so I have some doubts.

The Swiss already rejected a $25/hr minimum wage. This would be like everyone getting the equivalent of $15/hr for a work week FOR DOING NOTHING! Which is worse? $25/hr for minimal skill labor or $15/hr for doing absolutely nothing?

Let's hope they reject this nonsense, too. (Not good to set such a precedent.)
 
if you gave everyone 2600 a month...
think of how much govt you could get rid of.
it probably would save us billions a year.

if someone committed a crime now... there would be no bleeding heart bullshit.
most punishments for the smaller crimes could be make them work at the DMV or clean the roads for the money.

Assuming 150 Million US adults... x $31,200/yr = $4.65 TRILLION. US Government currently takes in about $2.6T/yr in taxes. (Spends about $3.6T, but that's another story.) How does that work? Is my math correct?

(Sounds like yet another stupid, Lefty, Kumbaya notion of raising minimum wage to $15/hr.)

How about THIS notion....

"Government subsidy" should be limited to "3 meals and a cot". If you want better than that in your life, GET A FARKIN' JOB AND PAY FOR IT YOURSELF... LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE!

Besides, NOBODY IS GUARANTEED SUCCESS... NOBODY IS GUARANTEED A QUALITY JOB. EACH PERSON NEEDS TO MAKE HIS OWN WAY IN THE WORLD AND NOT BE A PARASITIC BLOOD SUCKER ON OTHERS.

If you are a ne'er-do-well... a "can't do" or "won't do", you still get government support... "3 squares and a cot". Those people may be getting subsidies, by none can honestly claim to DESERVE them.
