Quote from Daring:

Fundamentals for the most part are useless because the people providing the fundamental data usually speak half the truth or nothing but lies.

eggsactly. And the news too half baked.

Why would you not have closed the trade at higher levels and await price to start being driven in the direction your price drivers indicate. In one trade, you use a stop based on a five minute bar close, and here you are in another trade, same instrument, and you are holding long in spite of a new daily low and low close. I'm just asking ...

Obviously because he thinks that's what "real traders" do. They go skiing after putting on their max position in a low-volume market skittish to news while the newsmakers hold an announced meeting at the White House. What a life!

No doubt I am very jealous. I am an unreal trader who uses charts and I had to suppress the urge to leave early on the Friday before EOY while the market was in centering. It's just as well; I suck at skiing. I've gone only twice, and to be honest I like to trade more than I like to ski. I'm still on a high from the close on Friday. Regardless of where the market opens on Sunday, I KNOW I played it right carrying into the weekend.

The House politicos are set to meet on Sunday and there's talk of the Senate ramming something through. The last time I had this much fun was the fall of 2008. The GF knows better than to get me started on this stuff.

yeah, i understand your question. It depends on my level of conviction for the trade and the distance from D-Day-- which is Wednesday in this case--- I positioned size so i can take the heat here--- i still expect this to be a solid winner in the end. surf

According to smurf theories, T/A traders suck because they look at charts - aka previous price history and react, whilst Price Driver Traders predict, don't place stops and head to the snowfield with goggles on so as not to get blinded by reality.
I wonder where the ouch threshold lays before he once again admits he's wrong "BUT T/A traders are wrong because- because-because-well because some fund managers told me so".
There's a little bit of a similarity between Surf and Stockturder from some years ago, lots of predictions and always getting direction wrong.
All good harmless fun though, it's only Sim. :)

I thought a 10 lot was, in your own words, "ALL IN"?
