Just to make it official, my 'big short' position was closed at a loss.
I really thought you had won it when the NDX/NQ fell 400 ticks in one day a few weeks ago.
But this trump bull market is relentless.

Even when we have a good edge 40% of the time the market is gonna do the opposite of what we think it will probally do. There are always bearish and bullish institutions playing the markets, at all times, in every scenario. They each try to push the market towards their bias. One side wins on B.O.'s but every b.o. is in turn tested hard by the other side to try and make it fail.As traders, we need to go which way the wind blows...not the way we think it should blow.
Yep, no way of knowing whether the next trade will work or not...just take the signals and observe the rules of the plan. Leave the fortune telling to the guru wanna-be's..Even when we have a good edge 40% of the time the market is gonna do the opposite of what we think it will probally do. Depends on how you define signal, simply making a call is not a signal. I have never heard a professional trader guarantee a trade. And damn few succeed by adding to losses and moving stops AWAY from targets. But surf was taking his signals wasn't he?
