Supreme Court to Overturn Roe v. Wade

Paraphrasing George Carlin, If the government can grant them or take them away, you don't have rights, you have privileges. It's not situational dummies, you have them or you don't, and you don't.

However, to play off of something @TreeFrogTrader used to say, we are on the road to Iran now. Lots and lots of “liberalism” about to be legislated through the courts and rights stripped that aren’t sufficiently right wing.

This is all Mitch McConnell’s baby. In a perverse way you have to admire him. He was singularly focused on grabbing an unanswerable power and stuffing it with his creatures, and here we are.

Assuming the Court strikes down Roe by adopting the flawed and juvenile argument of the current Majority, women in states that ban abortion must try to bring suit on Constitutional Grounds that such State laws violate their self-evident inalienable rights protected by the Ninth Amendment, which would be new grounds. The right to privacy protected by the 14th Amendment was found compelling by the Burger Court, but that decision will soon be superseded.

The current Court's majority is determined by those passing a litmus test on whether they would go along with overturning Roe. It is a sad day for America that we find ourselves with a Court dominated by intellectual lightweights.

Common sense would tell a person, of even the meanest intelligence, that abortion is murder, especially after the the first trimester. Get a grip.

It's murder. You'd have to be an idiot not to recognize that. The main issue though is that the matter should be left to each individual state to decide.

It's easy for you to say while you jack off for the fourth time today virtue signaling on the internet, in the real world and for real women, these are not easy decisions to be decided by old men who have zero stake in their lives or the children they have to bring up in the world.

As for states deciding, every red state will look like a Muslim theocracy, you built that.
