Supreme Court checking all the Christian boxes..

But it does not ask that ALL teachers remove pictures, it just asks gay teachers to remove pictures. The issue is not what you are personally finew with but what the actual law or regulation is saying.

Please show the part of the legislation that asks gay teachers to remove pictures of spouses. I can save you time, it isn't anywhere. But you're welcome to look.

The Constitution does require separation of church and state but contrary to what the libs argue, it does not create an affirmative obligation to hunt down all signs and connections to religious affiliation and snuff them out. I am in the camp of keeping things very separate but in this case the court concluded that the coaches prayer was well off to the side. I would have to be closer to the case and the facts to form an opinion.

In regard to keeping religion out of schools though, there is the important fact that we have the religion of secular humanism being adopted and taught in the classrooms and by the state every day. So the notion that we do not have a state religion is a crock.

Here are the facts:

School asked him several times to stop doing it as part of his on duty activities and he refused. Even offered him a solution and he refused. After several attempts to get him to agree to a solution they fired him.

Sorry to burst your bubble about some fantasy of hunting down all religious signs and connections but the facts in this case are pretty clear. There is no mandatory Christian rule that this guy MUST pray on the field in public after a football game. He knew what he was doing and was asked to stop.

Christiantiy, Islam, Judaisim etc... schools or leaders at schools should be pushing any religious activities.. that is what religious schools are for.

The case before the justices involved Joseph Kennedy, a Christian and former football coach at Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington. Kennedy started coaching at the school in 2008 and initially prayed alone on the 50-yard line at the end of games. But students started joining him, and over time he began to deliver a short, inspirational talk with religious references. Kennedy did that for years and led students in locker room prayers. The school district learned what he was doing in 2015 and asked him to stop.

Kennedy stopped leading students in prayer in the locker room and on the field but wanted to continue praying on the field himself, with students free to join if they wished. Concerned about being sued for violating students’ religious freedom rights, the school asked him to stop his practice of kneeling and praying while still “on duty” as a coach after the game. The school tried to work out a solution so Kennedy could pray privately before or after the game. When he continued to kneel and pray on the field, the school put him on paid leave.

Orange County rule we are talking about.... you responded to it

Elementary-level teachers reported being discouraged from putting pictures of their same-sex spouse on their desk or talking about them to students.

I am saying if this rule goes into effect then it does not seem fair if they only ask gay teachers to remove pictures of their families.

The Supreme Court handed down another 6–3 decision collapsing the separation of church and state on Monday, ruling in favor of more sectarian prayer in public schools. Kennedy v. Bremerton School District asked whether Joseph Kennedy, a high school football coach, had a First Amendment right to pray with students at the 50-yard line after games. According to some teammates, this practice coerced players into joining—and practicing Christianity at school—for fear of incurring the coach’s disfavor. Nonetheless, Justice Neil Gorsuch’s opinion for the court found that Kennedy’s school violated his rights when it asked him to pray in private.

Excellent.

This is the freedom the Supreme court has provided to religious people

It is the woke, not the con supporters who had an issue with this

Again, I was just going with the tweet posted that you were referring to. Says the schools discouraged it. So that sounds like a problem with the school. There is no law against having a picture of your spouse on your desk at school.

The article: "Representatives for Orange County teachers sounded alarm bells Monday after word spread from principals that Orange County Public Schools would impose strict restrictions on classroom behavior after Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education law, a.k.a the “Don’t Say Gay” law, took effect."

You stated that the government was banning this, and I just wanted to make sure we were both speaking correctly.
