Yes it is true I live in NYC. Was born in NYC. And I do not know Garden City. Also I have only been to Brooklyn twice in my life. Long Island City Once and New Jersey just when my mother lived in Bernardsville for a short while (next to Mike Tyson) I would take the bus.

Uptown for me is anything past Madison Square Garden 33rd street.

I believe in life you should draw triangles or circles. For me My Life Triangle is Downtown NYC all the way to Washington Ct and then all the way over to Fire Island (barrier island off Long island) If you draw those lines on a map that is my territory.

Now life is beckoning and I will have to expand my horizons to wherever my kid goes to college which is looking like it may be Charleston SC.

I want to checkout that You tube link Alan-- could you give Shake Shak a look! ~stoney

(P.S. Fire Island is a bit further East of what they show in that vid. So you have lots to explore. Including Garden City, which they flew over!)
