To create a final universe do the following with the Hershey Trader v1.0 .
Assuming you have it installed and runningâ¦
1. Left Click âWINDOWâ then âPREFERENCESâ (top left hand corner)
2. when the popup window appears Right Click âHERSHEYTRADERâ
3. type in the information about your stocktables.com account and select the screening parameters and Click âAPPLYâ and then âOKâ
4. In the âSECURITIESâ tab on the left, Right Click the folder âALLâ and select âSTOCKSCREENINGâ
5. When the program is done downloading the stocks from stocktables.com, you are ready to get rid of the non-ranking stocks.
6. Right Click âALLâ again and select âUPDATE FINANCIAL DATAâ
7. Left Click âALLâ again and the âHERSHEY DATAâ should fill in.
8. Right Click âALLâ again and select âUPDATE QUOTESâ
9. Left Click âALLâ again the dryup values appear.
10. Right Click âALLâ and select âUPDATE FINAL UNIVERSEâ
11. Now you have a Final Universe where all of the stocks have rank but some will not qualify for EPS or Float. Just delete the stocks that have low EPS or Float.
12. To make a Dryup Listâ¦
13. Right Click the folder labeled âDRYUP LISTâ and select âREFRESH DRYUP LISTâ
14. Left Click the folder labeled âDRYUP LISTâ and the list should fill in.

Thanks. Actually, I was using aa IBD100 spreadsheet. I saved to .csv per your suggestion and deleted all but stock symbols and it downloaded correctly.
I am not using stocktables at the moment. Next I am going to try MSN Stock Screener.

I don't know what could be going wrong with your setup mktman. I am running from behind a firewall also.
The first time the HersheyTrader tried to access the internet, my firewall popped up a screen asking to let it pass or not, that was it.
