Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal II

I have added a slight upgrade to the latest version of the Hershey Chartscripts. Hershey Equities Rank v. 3.0.1 includes all the functionality of previous versions. However, two minor changes now exist. I removed the portion of the code which (in previous versions) prohibited the line draw function from exceeding five 20% runs. Now, all 20% runs appear on a six month chart. Second, I have added the Stochastic (5,2,3) Indicator to the bottom of the chart. Enjoy.

I'm experimenting with a version of the Dry-up scan script where the Lower Band volume is displayed along with each stock symbol. It saves having to type the symbol of each dry-up stock into the "Hershey Equities Rank" script to get this info.

If I'm clever enough, one should be able to copy/paste the table directly into quotetracker's edit alerts screen. But I'm not there yet.

stevegee58, I've something similar to that, except that I export stocks in dry up to a .csv file. Of course, I'm leveraging spyder's DU scan script.

ATHR wasn't moving (and had actually pulled back from its high), so I dumped the shares for a $2.00 USD profit. I see no reason to hang onto a trade that just sits.

Obviously, my lack of patience here prevented me from riding the wave up. Lesson learned.

Price, Volume, MACD and Stochastics: all headed south at the moment. Attempting to catch a falling knife can often cause significant pain. FMD hasn't acted right since the huge run up on news a few weeks ago. Be careful.

I've been following your threads for a couple of weeks (thank you VERY much for the great introduction to Hershey's system...)

In regard to ATHR and your exit earlier today: According to the system (as I have been understanding it), if you don't see the continuing volume sustain (or grow), aren't you supposed to exit the trade? So your initial decision to exit was correct, and any other decision is not consistant?

Just looking for clarification.
