You sound like a pompous, arrogant UN-appreciative bloke who has little HUMILITY for others at this point in your life! Meaning, unless their story is like yours you don't respect them as worthy or as a human being of your status or of any entitlement in this world! Look it. NO ONE...not Obama and no poster on this board (who some assholes like to call "liberals" and blame for their anger and lack of humility) want to give handouts OR bailouts to anyone whether they are BANKS or otherwise. I don't want to walk the talk and have others think government owes them squat. BUT... the trouble is and why I cannot ever vote republican again is that they have lost TOTAL touch with other human beings and have evolved (or finally shown their true colors) AND demonstrated sufficiently to me that they are for the FEW and they not for the Country as a whole, United under God... a team where we all can reach the level we choose AND we all can make that contribution to this Country that we are capable of making !
To hardcore republicans, particularly further right, MONEY is their GOD! This is exceedingly hard to swallow since they are the party that claims to have a direct phone line to God and knows what God wants and dictates that religion and the bible are the driving forces in their lives. Yet they hate their next door neighbor (unless government steps in and says you cannot discriminate) but go home and say grace! This is the quintessential hypocrite model, and a sizable percentage of true, red hypocrites reside now in the right-wing of the republican party. IMHO!
They makes no qualms about passing legislation or having government HELP THEM. DO they brother!
The republicans have no problem getting benefits from the government like a reduction in THEIR taxes or bailouts of their banks and businesses like LTCM and others!? And in other ways they have no issue with government regulations and intervention so long as it helps them MAKE MORE MONEY! Do they brother!
So the real issue to me is why are republicans such blatant hypocrites and cannot (or refuse to) admit it??! Why do many republicans (like we see sampled on this forum) lack just basic humility and a basic concern and yes, even love, for others when they can recite chapter and verse from the bible and consider themselves often to be devout followers of God??! Well now, I am not a licensed shrink, but part of the reason in my view is that many many who identify with the rhetoric from the right have SERIOUS or borderline personality disorders and in many cases border on sociopathic-like emotional issues and/or for personal psychological reasons in their upbringing and childhood have lost that component of their emotional make-up that regulates compassion and empathy. Serial killers have a "similar" component. They have no compassion for animals or life other than their own. (no i am NOT saying right-wing zealots ARE serial killers)!
That is why republicans have always referred to anyone MORE REASONABLE (not more liberal) as a "bleeding heart" !! Because, you see brother Burtakus, in my humble view many admitted republicans have not been able to FULLY develop that portion of their personality that we all refer to as the HEART.
But isn't God really love? You think on that one!
In my view guys like you should be HAPPY as a pig in crap that you were able to LUCK out through what you call hard-work and maybe had the right stuff to make it in a seriously competitive dog-eat-dog world, as you allege! Thus my final point to you is this: ASK YOURSELF why the f-ck would a guy like you would be SO ANGRY? (and please do not deny that anger - go back and read your stuff, then look up the psychological definition of anger).
