Spain lockdown

Wave 2 won't happen in NYC, NJ or the most hit places so far, maybe in other areas, mild bump at worst.

Tracking UK area's, 4 peaked, 4 near, 5 way off, look like a 2nd peak so odds are another 1 week lockdown :(

Spain although peaked lag won't show it for another 2 - 3 weeks, the mild easing will turn the fall into a less of a fall so hopefully they'll stop panicking over the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Realise, not the end of the world and the fear will stop driving policy.

Sweden like the UK capital has peakedm rest of the country will peak soon, big country small population so slower.

4 weeks more and the nightmare should be over for most of us, hold in there.

Then the 2nd nightmare will become apparent :(

Oh... I understand now what you meant by Nov 4 in another thread. At least you are lucky with a strong political party in the US backing up at least a partial (re)opening of the country. No such counter power in Spain.

I doubt close to the majority of people here are even looking half seriously at what is going on outside their country, and the fact Spain from memory has the worst level of English in the EU doesn´t help. They might be just following the news on TV (we don´t have TV btw) and the mainstream here screams : stay home if you feel any patriotism. Lots of censoreship talk about "fake news" which largely seems to mean non offcially approved news.
Talking today with my fighting coach who is still daring the poisonous air to make a few bucks at my place, he mentioned his wife, in her late 30s/early 40s, who has been nearing panic while keeping her kids, who usually practice sports at least 5 times a week and compete, indoors since day 1 schools closed here, answered him "it´s the same everywhere" after he´d told her how difficult or complicated the rules were in Spain.
Education levels in Spain are also low by international standards, unsurprisingly. That doesn´t help freedom to spread in this case.

It turns out the Mrs isn´t even watching much TV, rather reading the main newspapers in Spain, there´s really not much alternative to the strict lockdown introduced to the people here, especially in a positive light.

Spend 2 hours trying to talk a pregnant woman it's not that bad, like everyone they think, if they get they die, the level of fear is just stupid.

Monday I think they release the plans in the UK for easing, crazy people are in control, I expect FEAR and many months ahead before normal.

Cop Car blocking car park entrance earlier, 2miles from town, 1 car parked in a car park by the forest and they where doing him :( Harm done = Zero as I ride past and about 10others and a few walkers LOL
 
Wondering as well how the deescalation plan will look like in the UK, the country doesn t seem in a rush to open up.
Bad news today, France announced mandatory 2 weeks quarantine until end of July for anyone entering the country, although it s not clear how they will enforce that. Vague idea to leave Spain to or through France this summer, as we all have either citizenship or residency there are crushed. Shenghen and UE free circulation are getting absolutely crushed.
From May 11 in Madrid, terraces and many shops should be open, groups until 10 peopke should be allowed, although still with social distancing within the group required. Contact sports still screwed, as of gyms not clear if they can open to any more than private classes.
They announced high level sports centers could open as well, which concerns daughter, but now news mention only outside training allowed, possibly not in group. Which sucks.
Emergency rules are often not precise plus changing fast anyway, hopefully if numbers don t get worrying they ll change in the right direction.
Hoping the State of Emergency extension won t be accepted by the parliement as more and more parties are complaining about their lack of involvement in decisions but that looks unlikely

Today they released, hospital deaths are dropping yeah, kinda gets everyones hopes up, but I bet, longer, or they'll allow 3people together, or visits to 1 person in your social group.

Odd thing, loads of cabling around the town, odd doesn't seen essential, so we are on a lockdown essential work only and there installing 5G network, which nobody has a phone to even use or a device, why ?? any idea if there installing over there ??

France already has millions infected, that's not rational at all. This also makes ZERO sense.

UK they used the WAR rules ie we are at war emergency to push these lockdowns upon us.

Woman, visited her mom, 20mins later neighbor grassed her up and police went straight around, FFS!!

Why is nothing making any sense, what the hell is going on!!!!
 
99.8% accurate AntiBody test coming real soon to UK and USA so hopefully then they'll realise everyone has had it and the deaths aren't going to spiral to 10x's the size and lockdowns not needed.

Dunno about the 5G here, well it seems the police is not overly relaxed in the UK, dorsn t look very fun either. Here adults and kids were at last alliwed outside at certain hour, noticed ib the street some couples who were not supposed to walk together. It looks better but fines for disrespect of isolation rules have gone up over 60% this week end. Police doesn t seem to agree with the more relaxed behaviour. High level athletes are now allowed to train alone outside at anytime, yet it is not written on their firehead they are high level and they don t even need the police to harass them, civilians have been doing that just fine it appears.

New info is bad in Spain, as expected the leftist government is considering a Covid Solidarity Tax, another form of wealth tax that already plagues much if Spain ( not Madrid though, which is a reason why we moved here but we might get screwed on that one if we don t escape in the meantime)
And... minister of Education plans to restart the schools with classes only half full if there is no vaccine by September, which will be the case. Government plans to impose social distancing until there s a vaccine... the other half of the students would have to study from home.
Teacher unions, always prioritising the health and education of the students rather than the teachers... hhhmmm... say they don t want to work in September if their safety is not guaranteed.
Also government want to send kids nelow 6 y o whose parents can t take care of them at home, grade 12 and grade 9 to school end of May so they can pass their exam in June, plus offer some presential support for other kids in difficulty but the Unions say the gov should hire special staff for that, the teacher's job is not to take care of special classes. Insanity, although from public unions we know there is no bottom to the pit they are willing to throw society in.
