Spain lockdown

he’s evil, he just happens to be rich

Rich means he can throw his weight around via his wealth.

Or develop Corona 22, 100x's as lethal, 4x's as spreadable yours for just 3billion $$$'s Lockdowns guaranteed pointless but still used.

I don't really believe in herd, but math's.

Once passed a certain point, people have had it and can't get again, so the people with it have less people to spread it to, it'll keep going just slower and slower until it's at 100% those last few %%'s could take years mind.

Ignore, 2nd infection bla bla bla until proven, no point worrying about a massively flawed maybe but unlikely, media hype.

I don't think we can yet judge what the death rate in a large city will end up being but hope you are right, even close to right should work out. At least we wouldn't go through a second strict lockdown here nor in the other cities which have been hit hard, like Brussels (my wife s fav)

Hi

I posted over the last few weeks about Spain in various threads, but it might be time to open a specific thread. One can reflect on the costs of the lockdown.
It's been quite strict here, non essential businesses largely closed, kids weren't allowed in the street for 6 weeks - a bit more for most kids who were locked in as soon as the schools closed - and adults will be allowed to go out alone for a jog or a stroll from this week end, after 7 weeks quarantine.
A deescalation plan was just introduced by the government. A beauty for the enemies of freedom.
Mostly copying and pasting what I posted in the Sweden thread

Sorry something wrong on my keyboard and I can't find question marks anymore, they show as _
Spain, a EU and Shenghen member, came up with a lockdown deescalation plan
Borders to be closed until at least end of October, Spanish folks locked in the country and foreigners can't visit. A measure already considered nonsensical by swedish authorities, as the virus is widespread.
People will be allowed to go out by themselves to stroll or jog from this sunday, possibly having to obey to a government imposed schedule, like 6am -8am to stroll or jog, 8to 10 to go to work, 10am to 1pm for kids under 5 y o, 1 to 4pm to allow municipal employees to clean the streets etc... Not clear when one will be able to go and meet a friend, hopefully it will follow shortly
It seems here in Spain, the government still has hope, or claims to have, to make the virus disappear. Today a study came up with november 28th as the date of the last infection in Spain. How more absurd can one get _ And what would they plan to do in that case _ Keep the country like a large jail as any contact with overseas could bring back the virus _
Schools not to reopen before September
Most shops to reopen in various steps and degrees of restrictions if all go well over the next couple of months.
Some sports are to reopen slowly, within 2 months there might be sporting events with public, as long as each spectator enjoys 20sqm to themselves. They seriously wrote this.
There's no plan yet to reopen contact sports - which sucks big time for us.
In case infection numbers increase, those stunning relaxations in rules could be cancelled and a strict lockdown reinstated
It all looks like hell. A virus with 99.5% survival rate was enough for a whole country to give up its cultural traits and freedom.
Not clear to me how Spain did fuck up so much, or what it plans to achieve with locking the country indefinitely but I really can't fathom how this lockdown would be worth the cost.

Interesting.
I am sure Spanish wants to see positive result after the tough lockdown.

What are the consequences if people failed to obey the lock down ?

According to official documents fines 600euros up to 100s of 1000s for bigger issues involving commercial establishments, although read mentions of 100euros fines being handed (possibly in foreign newspapers, not sure how informed they were, fines in official spanish documents definitely start at 600e). over 200k fines handed by March 31st. Aggressive police and neighbours, some caught on video, some reported by friends. 1000s of arrests and a few people jailed over repeated confinement offences.
Infection and death numbers are way down, now it remains to be seen what happens when the society opens up. Huge restrictions will stay in place for a while, easing progressively or turning back to full lockdown depending on how it evolves.

Pretty confident here, been following a lot of stat's and models, I started off at 4.8% before realising the scam then 0.3%, 0.05% looked good for a while being Flu x 2, Sadly NYC carried on further than expected before peaking.

Americans have crap health care so 0.1% average death rate per country is what I expect.

Spain is at 0.05% currently, so half way there, took 2months to get to 0.05%, likely take another 6months to get to 0.1% with ever decreasing deaths.

4.8% wouldn't justify lockdowns to me, 10%+ only.

It's the fear levels of the public, which is dictating policy and there controlled by the media :(

World!!!

Bill Gates believes and has stated ( as do I to be fair ) that the world is over populated and it's unsustainable for the long term, so with 25% of the population currently, resources and land would last 4x's longer.

He's not going to get 75% from this, maybe 10% dead, but it's a start.

He's WHO's main sponsor and spoke person and likely running it, hence the bad decisions coming out of it.

And US giving aid, that money has to come from some where, future taxation = more poverty.

Yes it can be true.. lets see what will happen

But then why did he warn people that we need to prepare for a pandemic if he wants the population to reduce?

I'm sure the nurses and doctors would disagree with you
