I think any decent history of the "Exodus" period should provide the proof you want. Israeli terrorists, including a man who would later be Prime Minister, Menachim Begin, blew up the King David Hotel, which was filled with British officers (at that time Britain administered Palestine), killing a fair number.

Once the Brits had left, the Jewish exodus began and they violently ejected Palestinians who objected to being tossed out of their homes. As for "buying" the land, I'm afraid that is nonsense. I'm not saying some individual plots were not purchased but I think the vast majority were just tossed out on threat of death.

While this sounds horrific, it was merely the continuation of a process that had occurred for centuries. Who legitimately holds title to this land depends largely upon when you start examining things. It seems pretty clear to me that between the Israelis and the Arabs, our interests lie with the former. The only reason we have any interest in the Arab world is oil, and we can take that by force if need be. In fact, I think it would solve a lot of [problems if we did exactly that.
