Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the Poor !

Leave it to the media to take a proposal that tries to insert some balance and fairness into a system that has already tilted toward socialism too far - by putting out an article saying the right wing extremists want to starve your children.

Shocking.
lolz, yes the system has already tilted too far toward socialism. The welfare load's certainly grown....it wouldn't be the case if citizens were taking a higher piece of that GDP home though.

Jesus Canada makes the most amount of money among all of the six countries $1.99 trillion and yet has the lowest GDP per capita. Poor (no pun intended) Canada! :(

I think that it is clearly demonstrated that Quality of Life does not need billionaire status. In fact billionaire status will decrease your quality of life. Lots of work, lots of stress, lots of safety problems (need to have bodyguards, no possibility to walk around anywhere without security measures to avoid being kidnapped or aggression).

Having a few millions and staying under the radar is the best situation to enjoy a good life without all these hassle of risk. Smart people don't want to be the richest or most famous person on earth.

Yes I think the novelty would wear off pretty fast.

More money is strictly better than less money but is not a sufficient condition for happiness.

being a billionaire is not that different from being a millionaire in most aspects of life except you can do some amazing things. Plenty of millionaires have body guards. The 5 billionaires I know don’t.

I confirm, your d**k is bigger than mine. You win.

No I think Canada is having too much population for its own good. LOL That's what I was saying. It's GDP is higher than any of the other countries and yet its GDP per capita is much lower which means somebody is not contributing to the GDP and is instead a freeloader.

For you who don't know your history, this was one of the main causes of both French Revolution and Russian Revolution. It rarely ever ends well.

Speak with your feet and expatriate. Greener pastures are on the other side. It is better to watch from afar and learn from others mistakes.

Maybe don't play politics w/the full faith and credit of the United States if you're serious about such proposals?

I've been done w/the GOP for a while and was done w/most when they were done w/democracy in 2020. So when I read about a bill like this, I think, oh another "performative BS" bill and it automatically goes on a scale.

On one side, realistically how much spending is this saving? How many jobs is this going to add? What will be the poverty/hunger increase vs not touching it?

On the other side I weigh the value of the politics in headlines. "GOP fights Bidenflation by curving reckless green new deal woke agenda", "Marxist dems vote against inflationary spending", "Dems entitlement policies are dragging this country down".

sux I see it that way but I didn't start it. FWIW, Dude seems far from the worst:
