Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the Poor !

Everything in the world is a ponzi scheme. That we already know, even in video games we play. The earlier that you start playing the game, the higher levels that you achieve, the better eq that you have, the better you are. Think of the real life as one giant game that you play; the rich are the players that have been playing for a longer time or have found tricks and have got better drops by sheer luck sometimes and as a result of it have achieved higher levels, having more exps, having more gold/coins/whatever is the currency of the game and have better abils and skills. This is why you have to do more quests and do more raids, to try to get ahead and to get the rare drops so you can power-level and become high-level, rich irl. Once you become a high-level player, the game's dev. will ask you for input and would even tailor the game to suit your needs and taste just like how the rich can lobby the government to their favour which is I believe what you are referring to as "he government is unfairly giving more and better access to the rich" and then the rest of the player would have to conform to the rules of the government that the rich has shaped which is what you believe as the government "at the same time limiting the poor to the same financial resources". The point of the game is to work hard and even harder to get ahead and become rich yourself so you can shape the game yourself and not just sit there and just keep complaining.

Remember, we've got it easy. In the animal kingdom, if you don't work hard to find your food, you starve to death and there is no social safety net to save you.
I see.... So you're still primitive.

So my question is this. Please read with some thought before jumping to conclusion. You have poor reading comprehension.

1) Why is the government giving out handouts to the rich without any strings attached, when in fact they can get by without those handouts? Most people with over $250K do not need government assistance.

When did the rich get handouts with no strings attached? Are you talking about the 2008 financial crisis bailouts? Most of the companies (like the failed SVB) paid them back. And the bailouts were given so the companies won't close down and the poor people can still have a job and continue to have food on the table, if you haven't noticed. Yes it was unscrupulous of the company to still continue to pay their executives bonuses out of the bailout money but in an indirect way the bailouts were still to help the poor. Most people with over $250K are not getting any government assistance. WHEN do you see people with over $250K getting governmental assistance??

2) If the rich are able to get handouts for nothing, shouldn't the same standard apply to the poor? Why must the poor be villified as a bunch of lazy ass when the rich who fucked up on a grand scale is so easily forgiven?

For nothing? They have been paying taxes all these years. It's not true that the rich do not pay taxes. How much taxes do the poor pay? And the poor are not been vilified, stop being so melodramatic!! The bill just says the people receiving food assistance should work to get them in some specific cases and that's very fair. Why are people so afraid of and so unwilling to work? LOL

My point isn't about rich vs poor, or even Democrat vs Republican. It's about the hypocritical standard that favors the wealthy over the poor (or rather the eroding middle class due to income inequality).

Really??!!! What's the title of this thread??

Socialism for the Rich and Capitalism for the Poor !

And you say it's not about rich vs poor??!! LOL You are the one who's hypocritical here. There is no standard. Everybody has to work, period. You should see how hard some of those lawyers and doctors work. All the poor see is them playing golf and sipping wine on a yacht but they never see how hard these people work in the background. They need to stop watching Hollywood movies and look at what reality is.

Probably not a lot different from; whack someone so they cry and you'll get jail time, wear a white collar and rip off millions from everybody and you'll be given a 2nd chance.
Florida man serving 400-year sentence freed after being exonerated for robbery
Sidney Holmes, who served 30 years, released after new inquiry found eyewitness identification was likely ‘misidentification’

A man who served more than 30 years of a 400-year prison sentence has been freed after he was exonerated for armed robbery charges.

On Monday, 57-year-old Sidney Holmes was released from prison in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after the state decided to reinvestigate a 1988 armed robbery in which Holmes was accused of being the getaway driver.

Holmes was arrested on 6 October 1988 and then convicted following a jury trial in 1989 for allegedly serving as the driver for two unidentified men who robbed a man and woman at a gunpoint outside the store. The two men also stole the male victim’s car, according to Broward county state attorney Harold Pryor.

Holmes maintained his innocence and contacted the state attorney’s conviction review unit in November 2020.

“Prosecutors with the Conviction Review Unit (CRU) determined that Holmes had a plausible claim of innocence because of how he became a suspect and because of the precarious eyewitness identification that was the principal evidence against him at trial,” Pryor said.

Reinvestigation by the CRU found that eyewitness identification of Holmes was likely a “misidentification” partially due to photo and live lineup practices that were commonly used by law enforcement at the time, which Pryor described as “scientifically unreliable”.

Part of the misidentification included a civilian investigation launched by the brother of one of the victims which was based on certain similarities between his “extremely common Oldsmobile and the car used by the robbers, [which] overlooked differences between the two cars and was likely a misidentification of the vehicle”, said Pryor.

He went on to add that there is no evidence tying Holmes to the robber, aside from the incorrect identification of him as a suspect. In addition to both victims telling the CRU investigation that they believe Holmes should be released from prison, the Broward sheriff’s office deputies who performed the original investigation “expressed shock” that Holmes was sentenced to and had served so much time in prison.

SVB would have caused millions in unemployment.

The reason: companies move more than 250k easily. My company brings in and out about 2mm gross a week. If we lost that 2mm due to a bank failure, it would cripple us. A depositor is not the same as an investor. The investors (who get a piece of the earnings) all got wiped out, as they should. A depositor has no choice but to put their money in a bank. If the fed didn’t bail them out, there would have been a run on every bank not named JPMorgan and as many assets that could have gotten out would be at JPM. The rest would be lost in the sea of marked to market.

What kind of a world would that be (speaking or rich and poor).

Took his life away because black be black.

This is the distribution of taxes from a European country. It shows that the poor pay nothing and the rich pay almost all.
Decile based on income.
The lowest 40% of the population pays only 10% of the total taxes.
The lowest 20% of the population pays almost nothing.
The highest 20% of the population pays 75% of the total taxes.
On top of that most financial social help is given to the 20% poorest.
