So will antivaxxers take the Covid pill?

By Pushkala Aripaka November 4, 2021

London: Britain on Thursday became the first country in the world to approve a potentially game-changing COVID-19 antiviral pill jointly developed by Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, in a boost to the fight against the pandemic.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency recommended the drug, molnupiravir, be used as soon as possible following a positive COVID-19 test and within five days of the onset of symptoms.

UK approves Merck's COVID pill in world first
Britain became the first country in the world to approve the potentially game-changing COVID-19 antiviral pill jointly developed by Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, which is believed to reduce the risk of death by half.

This is the first oral antiviral treatment for COVID-19 to get approved, with the green light coming ahead of potential US regulatory clearance. US advisers will meet this month to vote on whether molnupiravir should be authorised.

The drug, to be branded Lagevrio in Britain, has been closely watched since data last month showed it could halve the chances of dying or being hospitalised for those most at risk of developing severe COVID-19 when given early in the illness.

The British government and the country’s National Health Service will confirm how the treatment will be deployed to patients in due course.

Last month, Britain agreed a deal with Merck to secure 480,000 courses of molnupiravir.

In a separate statement, Merck said it was expecting to produce 10 million courses of the treatment by the end of this year, with at least 20 million set to be manufactured in 2022.

The US-based drugmaker’s shares were up 2.1 per cent at $90.54 before the market open.

I'd bet if you put this new pill under a microscope it would look a lot like Ivermectin, and probably chelated with some vitamins C, D and zinc. While not serious, I am serious when I ask why are we all vax or nothing? If we're in a International health crisis shouldn't we be open to using as many tools as we can to address the problem? Everything has been immediately shot down whenever suggested. I'd also like to know how we got from don't trust the vaccine to not only do we trust it, we're mandating it with punishment for those that don't? WTF? Prior to 1/20/2021 it was be skeptical of the Orange Man vaccine to hey, it's fantastic. Was it the "science" that changed on inauguration day, or was it the politics?
Bottom line, get a vaccine, take a FDA approved medication, lose some weight, get fit, eat right, whatever, but reasonable people don't shutdown all discussion of alternatives if they're actually serious about fighting the virus.
Gosh, you’re so sciencey.

Somebody's gonna say its poison.

Because those dumbasses colored it red. Didn't they ever watch the Matrix? Scientists. Total bookworm nerds with no sense of current events. Even though those current events are over 20 years old now.

Yes, they will take the pill, on their last gasp, to prove the pill doesn't work.
This is sad but true. I wish it wasn't.
I hope this song helps.

There is always the fallback jesus insurance route, pray to God for forgiveness last minute to ensure your safe passage through the Pearly gates.
Do you think God would take the pill? Haha! Just curious. This thread is very interesting.
