Let's assume what you say is true...Zimmer is a bigot. What is he supposed to do if Marty was acting suspicious? Shouldn't he approach the teenager anyway? Obviously the teen had a problem with being approached and it's not like Zimmer intended to "kill" a black kid "today"!

You have this exactly backwards. Trump is advocating keeping a manufacturing base, something vital to any superpower. Manufacturing jobs are not low paid. They provided a decent middle class lifestyle for millions of people. The same with energy jobs that Obama has gone out of his way to destroy. Now many of those communities are wracked by opiate addiction. Well done, Mr. President.
The number one thing we can do for people in low wage jobs is stop allowing in hordes of low skill illegal immigrants to compete for those jobs. Back when black leaders actually cared about helping their people instead of race hustling, people like Barbara Jordan recognized that immigration hurts low wage workers. it still does but the democrat party has higher priorities.
Manufacturing jobs are not middle class, never have been. China is losing its manufacturing jobs, those are moving to Vietnam and Africa. Nothing Middle class attached to manufacturing. At least not when you believe in hard cold capitalism. Of course you can "protect" manufacturing salaries through union thug bully type of methods or force high salaries through legislation but wasn't that in the first place why manufacturers shifted jobs to lower cost countries. By extension, do you also want to bully a manufacturer who moves from Boston to Alabama because it's cheaper to produce down South?

George Zimmerman was fired from his job as an under-the-table security guard for “being too aggressive,” a former co-worker told the Daily News.
Zimmerman, at the center of a firestorm for shooting an unarmed black teenager a month ago, worked for two different agencies providing security to illegal house parties between 2001 and 2005, the former co-worker said.
“Usually he was just a cool guy. He liked to drink and hang with the women like the rest of us,” he said. “But it was like Jekyll and Hyde. When the dude snapped, he snapped.”

“He had a temper and he became a liability,” the man said. “One time this woman was acting a little out of control. She was drunk. George lost his cool and totally overreacted,” he said. “It was weird, because he was such a cool guy, but he got all nuts. He picked her up and threw her. It was pure rage. She twisted her ankle. Everyone was flipping out.”

The argument between Zimmerman and Scheibe, 27, involved "some kind of separation in their relationship," Lemma said.
According to the arrest report, after Scheibe told Zimmerman to pack his things, he "cocked the shotgun" before putting the two guns in one case. She told deputies he then became upset as she carried his belongings out and he took out the shotgun. Scheibe said she was going to call police, and Zimmerman pointed the weapon at her for a minute and "asked her if she really wanted to do that."
Zimmerman then smashed a glass-top coffee table with the gun butt and ordered Sheibe out, she told deputies. He pushed her out and locked the door.
