So It Turns Out Mexico Will Pay For The Wall...

For those of you advocating the "lets all just roll over and go tits up because there is nothing anywhere, anytime that will ever help" you have about 23 dem candidates waiting for your vote.

And for those of you who are arguing that some of the steps that must be taken will cause hardship for Americans for all while, then fine. Choose your poison. You have a goddam spreading cancer in your belly and you wont allow any surgery unless someone will prove to you that it will not cause you to go through a painful period. No one can give you those assurances, so prepare to die in the long run or step up to the difficult steps that must be taken to save this country from a total, total, total relentless invasion.

Which one you gonna choose? Yeh, I thought so. Generations of Americans died face down in the mud to preserve this country and now we have fucking pussies worried about whether they are going to pay more for their microwave or large-screen TV.
why don't you tell us what have you fucking sacrificed for our freedom? fucking fake pussy ass patriot.

Constipationman is always angry on Fridays. He sees the amount of taxes being taken of his paycheck out in California and goes into a rage.

Don't get angry Constipationman. Your tax dollars are funding the education and healthcare of illegal immigrants. Your tax dollars are also working overtime in the human waste removal efforts on the streets San Francisco.

Cheer up! :)

Is this "clueless Friday?" Of course it would be nice if we didn't incentivize illegal aliens and bogus asylum claimants. But dems have blocked all efforts to reform the system. In fairness, plenty of republicans are amnesty/open borders sell outs. California even passed a state referendum banning benefits for illegals. A district court judge knocked it down and the new democrat governor refused to appeal.

And Trump did not act because of a few mexicans slipping across the border. He acted because mexico is openly facilitating the caravan invasion. Mexico is on very thin ice here. Like the Chinese they have had things their own way for way too long. So of course they are not just going to voluntarily agree to do something for us. They have to be forced to do it, and Trump knows how to apply leverage. They will submit, but it is disgusting to see Americans rooting for Trump to fail. We've used the carrot with these Latin American countries for too long. Now they will feel the stick, wielded by a crazed orange man.

Trump heading for meeting with mexican officials.

The numbers of migrants slipping in is increasing not, decreasing! Yesterday, it was over 1,000 migrants in Texas alone. How many thousands more per day should we tolerate? The porous border argument is lame. Let us see Mexico shut its border gates to the migrants and prevent them coming in. They would have to turn back with nobody supporting them, providing them food, shelter and monies among other things! If they try to go around, they would have to pay coyotes which would charge them enormous amounts to smuggle them around. Not everyone can pay such high prices to the coyotes. It is not asking Mexico too much to have them make an effort first! They are not even half-trying but, on top of that, ferrying the migrants to the US border in buses!

In the same nature/spirit of the risk assessment you listed I believe this same approach is used by companies who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.

I have looked at a number of ICE raids in the past few years. Some of the companies have been busted multiple times. In none of the cases is the CEO or any management facing prison time.

The company will typically be fined (a fairly large amount of money). Many companies manage their risk by using 3rd party temporary staffing agencies. When the company is raided the management has offloaded all of the legal risk on the staffing agencies.

Some of these companies are repeat offenders. Their risk assessment tells them the expected value/return is greater when you pay illegal immigrants below labor market values VS. the cost of an ICE raid.

I'm not sure e-verify could solve this. Many of these temp staffing agencies have been proven to KNOWINGLY commit fraud and identity theft in their efforts to get illegals hired. CEOs who want to leverage a lower cost illegal labor force can insulate themselves from legal charges by insulating themselves via a staffing agency.

TLDR; You need new laws that hold CEOs accountable. We also need e-verify and stronger oversight on Temp Staffing Agencies.

I'm sure there are companies that employ illegal labor. But the labor is already here. This goes back to the whole "you can have a welfare state or open borders, but not both" argument. I'm not debating any of that at all. I'm just saying a tariff won't work to stop illegal immigration. At all.

Okay but the problem that we are up against now- that is relatively recent due to the wacko court rulings- is that illegals are not trying to cross the border and not be caught. The are trying to reach the border and turn themselves over- with the exception of the drug dealers. In other words, the goal is to be caught or just show up.

Just a couple years ago the overwhelming number of illegals were young males. Now the majority are families or some combination that may involve a rent-a-kid to get asylum or stealing some children on the way up and then dumping them after they are in.

There is no fix without both a wall and a change in asylum laws.

Not disagreeing with you. Just saying a tariff won't stop illegal immigration at all. Not even slow it down.

I've had that idiot on ignore for months now.

A tariff by itself will not but if the threat of a tariff motivates mexico to stop facilitating the caravan invasion, that will certainly help. Mexico is notoriously corrupt and officials there are probably being bribed to assist this invasion. They're not going to turn that money down because we ask nicely.

They should be grateful Trump is only using tariffs. This guy has a different approach.

Maybe, we should do like Hungary and convert shipping containers into detention centers because we are forced to release migrants who cannot be detained due to lack of detention centers!
