It's a normal thing to get fired from a prop. firm, if you are not making money. If they gave you a 6 months screening period, it may not be a bad firm. I'm more familiar with places with 2 weeks screening, which pretty much my standard with prop. firms.
Eventually, trader's job is to make money. If you're not doing it, you have no excuse what-so-ever... regardless of the Hybrid or the assumption of improvement.
If you can elaborate on the details of your actual trading performance, maybe you'll get more feedback. Another helpful feedback is how the other traders in the firm are doing.
Anyways, what I can say so far is... no one can tell you to quit/stop trading, regardless of the type of job you'll get in the future.
