So I got fired from my prop

Quote from goodfellow:

LOL! No wonder you got fired. LOL. I'm surprised they let you stay 6 months. You lost the company money.

I don't know what's so funny here, but losing 7k over 7 months is nothing for a new trader. You can't just look at the losses, you have to look at the circumstances. Since the market now does everything opposite to the basic scalping strategies that awhoa was taught by his firm, one cannot blame him. All he needs is time to adapt.

Quote from awhoa99:

i had 6 months in me and they let me go..........and i was starting to come around

i had to learn the specialist and then the hybid...BIG CHANGE....

shoulda been given AT LEAST 1 MORE MONTH to show a positive profit....

but bottom line, it was up to me, and i failed, so onto the next
place.

i feel i can do it and I WILL......would they rather me try for 2 months and realize i cant do it, or do it for 6 and realize i must fight to do it and i was willing to fight for the prize

If you feel that you are on the cusp of making it, then try another shop. There are too many to choose from. But may I also suggest that you find one where you have to put up some scratch, so that this way if you screwup, it is you that feels it first. Makes you a smarter trader when it's your money on the line.

Someone mentioned go retail, but the most you will get is 4x BP, whereas a prop house will give you 20x at least if you put up monies.

Just my opinion. Good luck with your trading.
