Keep digging that hole. My kid is an expert on this shit and tells me that he knows dozens of Contenders-league players and that the average is somewhere around $100/week.So now he's not a streamer but a paid league player.

so you do have a kid... well $100/week level does exist but is typical for non academy teams and the players are not represented by an agent, therefore less negotiation know-how... and outside of the US the levels are lower.

some of the more prestigious teams pay up to $3500... fairly close to the OWL minimum.

my son does have an agent who does the negotiation for him.

in any case for a 14-yo this matters little because he's still supported by us parents.... for the players over 19 trying to make a living on their own then the amount does matter, you are gonna lose good talent to other teams if you can only pay $100/week; the math is simple because if you can keep a player on the roster and some OWL team picks him up, the transfer fee is comparable to Major League Soccer. ... and of course these guys all have the ultimate goal to make it into the OWL.

My 2 cents:

1)Do not buy courses (especially DO NOT buy courses from Jeff Bishop lol), buy books instead. Natenberg, Sinclair, Baird, Cottle, Hull, McMillan these are the names that you will constantly see popping up in these forums, and for a good reason.

2)Do not believe anybody telling that you can simply sell naked options for income. This is a strategy that works 99% of the time, however when it does not work the losses are so big that they take away all the profit from the previous 99%. It's not a bad strategy per se, but should be used only in certain market conditions.

3)you will truly learn only by losing $, so you will feel better if you consider the whole amount as the tuition fee.

4)for the first year, I would say that your target should not be making money, but simply preserving capital.

5)Search these forums for inspiration. 80% is BS but there are also some gems to be found.
