Sir Paul McCartney Slams Bush: ‘Nice To Have A President Who Knows What A Library Is’

I thought McCartney's comments were a bit crass, to tell the truth. Shows a disrespect for the office to say it while standing in the White House.

So does this proves something....It only proves how stupid you are.

The conversation here is about how the Liberals perpetuate the myth that Bush was stupid and does not read books. yet you try to show evidence that is being laughed at instead of proving a thing. Taking flash moments of time in a President's life that is recorded 24hours a day only shows how you are simple minded and easily influenced your mind is.

To me this incident perfectly captures the sneering condecension of the left and the ironic lack of support for it. George W. Bush may not have been a great president, but he has a degree from Yale and an MBA from Harvard. McCartney is apparently what the Brits term a school-leaver, ie a high school dropout. Bush was one of the best-read presidents in history. His wife was a former librarian, making McCartney's remarks even more incomprehensible. Bush was known to read several books a week, even as president. He and Karl Rove competed to see who could read the most books. Obama? He plays a lot of golf and basketball and takes a lot of vacations.

I find this whole episode sad. McCartney now joins the long list of dim-witted celebrities who try to curry favor with idiotic attacks on the opposition. Perhaps he was trying to show off for his 30-something girlfriend. Moreover, it was a monumental faux pas for a foreign dignitary to crudely attack a U. S. President while performing in the White House. McCartney owes Bush, Obama and the American people a heartfelt apology, not one of those PR-firm drafted "if anyone happened to be ofended by my remarks.." fake apologies.
I could not have said it any better myself.

No he doesn't.The American people owe him a round of applause
Some of your, more intelligent, liberal buddies would disagree.

Just watch obama thank himself during St. Patrick's day. classic.

I don't think Sir Paul will be such an obama fan after he hears barry is in favor of lifting a ban on commerical whaling.

Funny stuff.

Gentlemen, gentlemen, GENTLEMEN---

It is truly beyond hilarious for you tiny little souls to come on the internet and slam Paul McCartney.

Just sitting here laughing my ass off.

We're not discussing Bush. I thought he was a bad president, ok? But it chaps me for some fucking barely literate Brit with bad teeth to come ot the White House and start making idiotic cracks about the former president. The fact the audience apparently laughed says plenty about the utter lack of class among current democrats and their hollywood financial masters.

McCartney has every right to speak his mind, even if by doing so he reveals that it is mostly empty. Just not at the White House as an invited guest of the American people.

You're just making a joke right?

Please tell me you're not this damn dumb.

Sir Madam Paul McCartney was probably high at the time and doesn't even remember what he said. Or maybe he was coming down off his buzz and the holes in his brain were drying out.

Who even really cares what this drug addict says anyway?
