joystick ............. tell me u joking:confused:

yes, joking indeed, but one needs to be fast to react to price developments. The Dax can move very fast and, if like me, you don't like trading with stops/limit orders, then you have to be fast, ergo the importance of joystick skills

i do envy u when i read ur posts...........i cant do it..............how do u decide which stop to use

I personally do only do quick scalps short wise ... do a 5-7 point stop and lock in 1-10 point profit ... depending how volatile the market gets ...

on the S&P its easier than the dax IMO ...

for now locked in 27 points only quick scalping.

so you are the one moving the market then

barely ... I trade only 1-2 contracts quick scalping where in directional trades I do MAX 6 contracts.

so its not me mate!!!

I bet asus is the one doing 100-200 contract sizes ... but than his methodology is soooo much different than the one I use.

I scalp with 5 and will move to 3 if liquidity does not improve.

Brendan............your must be really discipline , not using stop loss for me is like committing murder in texas...........(.instead of them sending u to the death chamber straight away...........they keep u in the galo for 18 years and finally )

do u do the same for your larger time frame trades?..

alot of scalpers dont use SL'es they relly on taking quick profits and very quick losses ...

sometimes I even take losses with out the SL being triggered simply of non believing a direction I picked.

well, I have mental stop losses, I'm very disciplined and I know when I'm wrong.

A scalping mistake can be very expensive, hence smaller number of contracts.

On longer timeframes, same story, I know my stops. I just don't feel comfortable giving info to the market, even being small fry.

As a quant, sure you can think of a model that would be "unbeatable" on certain days because it has access to all stop and limit orders placed on several markets. Wouldn't you love that?
