just like coding (programming)..........this is what we want it doesnt matter what the reality is................but dont forget the name of the game is trading .............which means making money

i have a position too holing a paper loss but mine is quantitative in nature ....so the loss is not as much as taking directional trades

Quote from Brendan R:

at least I don't have a position, like a Pavlov dog, the last few days have taught me.

at what point will you change your bias towards the mkt.............i meant this the positive wasy (no sacarsm).

what will happen for u to change your directional bias

once I get to swallow the magic pink pill or some soma (check out Aldous huxley - A Brave New World).

fundamentally, the economy is still in a mess. It's not a bunch of good news/annoucements that will change the overall direction. Sure it is in the best interest of the majority to have asset prices go up but the more you deviate from value the more it costs you.

I doubt this rally has much left to go. For the moment I'm lurking.

thank for that response..........now u've managed to get me off my screen, i got the "brave new world " on the internet ............something to read while the mkt gets back to reality

thanks Brendan

I didn't see 4882 ...
Do you short only dax?

No, I was short a whole bunch of other indices, too. But doesn´t matter. Stopped out with my trailing stops.

I have seen a lot of "bear market rallys", but this one is ome of the most ridiculous ones I ever participated in.

It seems, we have not only reckless bankers giving a sh.t about irresponsible lending practices, but we have also mutual fund managers giving a rats ass about valuations.

I don´t care what mainsteram media and the usual market prediction pundits are trying to suggest.

But when I hear that Goldman Sachs is recommending to get out of cash and bonds into equities, I know what time it is !

Asus..........yes when Goldman says goodmorning u should go out to see what the sky looks like and remember not to ask the first 5 people u meet on ur way out what time it is.............but thats what they always do......what makes u think its the same this time?

Well, maybe you see who and what is someone (GS) buying ... I don't.
I believe that even GS cannot buy the whole market. It is just a game who scares who, :-).

Playing the volatility breakout that will certainly occur. Adding 5150.00 calls and 4800.00 puts.

Might also be good time for put premium collection. :)
