Sen. Ted Cruz Wowing Them In Iowa

"Sen. Ted Cruz Wowing Them In Iowa"

Can even one of you reichtards explain how a half-Cuban from Canada is legally qualified to be President of the USA?

Bonus points if your explanation doesn't resurrect the birther horseshit about Obama being a half-Kenyan from Kenya. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Cruz on the other hand is decidedly not a natural-born citizen. Not a point of debate. And he had only one American parent when he was born ... on foreign soil.

Extra bonus points: explain why Papa Cruz waited almost 50 years to become a US citizen after escaping Castro.

Has Cruz officially announced his candidacy for POTUS?

After 2008 our presidential standards bar has been set so low. Is a "half-Cuban from Canada" really that much of a stretch?

Quote from Tsing Tao:

Here, again, I would point to another law that should not be in place to solve the work issue: Minimum wage. Remove minimum wage and let market conditions decide wages. The reason companies hire illegals is because they can pay them below minimum wage. Remove that silly law and the market determines what someone will work for. If I could hire a US national for the same price as an illegal, why would I hire an illegal at all?

If you think US nationals would not take the jobs, then I refer you again to the Libertarian argument on how there should be no government welfare. Then, as Scat says, hunger and out of work motivates people to work these jobs.

What do you base the statement that companies are paying illegals below minimum wage? What companies are doing this? What wage are they paying?

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

Couldn't someone give Santorum a job so he stays out of sight? He basically handed the democrats their phony "War on Women" line with his debate performances.

I don't doubt his sincerety or his convictions, but I don't see how he helps things by attacking candidates who are against 99% of abortions. I understand that if you regard abortion as murder, there is no logical reason to exclude rape and incest, etc, but there is a practical one. I'm not willing to order a woman who has been through that to have the child. There are some situations that we don't need government butting into and that is one of them.

Santorum doesn't see it as government butting in by having an absolutist position on abortion and outlawing all abortion. He sees it as defending his religion. Now, his religion also is opposed to the death penalty, and I don't know what Santorum's position on that is.

It seems that the rhetoric against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has gone from hateful to downright graphic and violent. The Capitol Police are investigating online threats made by an individual against the Texas senator, a Cruz spokesperson said Friday.

The threatening posts were made on Twitter by someone who identifies himself as Troy Gilmore Jr. and uses the Twitter handle @ArmyVet54. He has also listed Cruz’s home address in Houston several times and argued he needs to be “taught a street wise lesson.”

“Take down Ted Cruz, at his home,” the person tweeted, listing Cruz’s home address in Houston.

“Lets Find Ted Cruz, Texas address and show up his House, drag him out and B***h slap his A** in front of the country,” another tweet reads.

“Ted Cruz, we want you a** go the f*** back in Canada, else you and ur family will pay. U got a f***ing big mouth,” the same person wrote.

In yet another threatening post, the user advocates hanging Cruz by his “small balls if he tries another ‘ShutdownTactic.’”

Ah yes, the tolerant left. They’re so kind, peaceful and open-minded that this kind of stuff almost never happens. Oh wait.

Remember, the left will always tell you whom they fear most. If they’re attacking you, you’re doing something right.

I'm sure Eric Holder and the Justice department are throwing a lot of resources at this...oh wait, I confused it with the effort to indict George Zimmerman on bogus federal charges. Threats against Ted Cruz will get the Fast and Furious/Benghazi/IRS treatment.

I suppose this is what passes as intelligent analysis in the roofing community.

Its hard to imagine that anyone is so stupid that they would deny the fact that many illegal immigrants get less than minimum wage.

Show some proof ass wipe. Go by Homedepot and pick up some day workers and offer them $5 an hour tell me how that works out for your ignorant ass. And it was posted companies are using illegal workers for less than minimum wage, where is the proof, who is doing this, how much are they being paid. It's all talk with no proof. You are a dipshit so don't bother responding back. Tao is welcome to respond though. I work in construction and in Texas Arizona and New Mexico and have friends in the business all over the states. The going rate in roofing is about $200 a day for a good roofer, legal or otherwise with the head subcontractor making multiples of that, legal or other wise.
Have I told you how ignorant you are lately paddy boy, well you are ignorant boy.

Let me provide some evidence of a large employer using illegal workers for less than minimum wage.

In 2008, the Feds raided the Agriprocessors Inc plant in Postville, Iowa. As noted in articles about the raid the majority of employees were illegals and most were paid under minimum wage with no extra pay for overtime.

Postville Raid

The Postville Raid was a raid at the Agriprocessors Inc. kosher slaughterhouse and meat packing plant in Postville, Iowa, USA, on May 12, 2008, executed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division of the Department of Homeland Security together with other agencies. The raid was the largest single raid of a workplace in U.S. history until that date, and resulted in nearly 400 arrests of immigrant workers with false identity papers who were charged with identity theft, document fraud, use of stolen social security numbers, and related offenses. Some 300 workers were convicted on document fraud charges within four days. The majority served a five-month prison sentence before being deported.

(More at above url)

I will sadly note that the owner, Aaron Rubashkin, and his sons Sholom and Heshy Rubashkin, were not convicted of any crimes, but some of the mid-level managers were.

You may ask why I know about Postville - we had a family member whose SSN was stolen and being used by one of the illegals. The IRS was trying to collect taxes for the 'income they earned in Iowa' - a state that the individual had never even visited. It took over three years to sort this mess out with the IRS who continually sent threatening tax collection letters.

The phillipinos who cut my lawn do it for 40 bucks a month and they spend atleast 8 hours a month there is my proof, right from the bottom line. When you add up the gasoline and time it takes to get from place to place they are probably working for 4 bucks an hour.
