People who made mistakes should have to pay for the mistakes they made. There's a fine balance (on certain topics) between the level of "suffering" that should be allowed, but I suppose you believe that people who bought a 750,000 house with no money down, an annual income of $35,000, should get a bailout to make them whole when they miss mortgage payments?
There's difference between your cited example and that of the young mother who made a mistake and making her kids pay for it. I agree that in your example there of course needs to be accountability.
And this is about the minimum wage and people who are doing the right thing and working full time but are still in poverty.
The minimum wage should be raised.
