Here is Business Insider's graphs from Edison Research:

That shows income telling a completely opposite story about the poor voting for Trump.

Here is one that supports your theory, and also aligns with the previous chart (that stopped at college education). When going a step further and bringing in post graduate degrees, look at the significant change!

Thanks for the image. TBH, the most striking is the HS or less. It's 12% right there. The post-grad is in line with what I'd guess if I had not seen it.

Apparently 58% of the educated are communists. ;)

My wife has a large, extended family of academics, many of which are postdocs. I can't name one who will admit to voting for Trump.

I have the greatest respect for those who have been consistently anti-Trump who align GOP. That says a lot. I come from a family of Kennedy-Dems.

Apparently 36% of the educated are communists. ;)

I believe that 36% are communists! :)

The only thing I'd say, and this is just personal opinion, is that education does not always equate with wisdom! And I am not saying people voted for Trump because they were more wise. They voted because they believed he was a better choice, or a lesser of evils. It's easy to look at today and say how wrong that choice was, when it is impossible to prove how things would have been under Clinton.

I was quoting the differential, not the nominal figure. It may not equate to wisdom, but they are correlated.

I will believe this, to my dying day, that it was a combination of the disenfranchised rust-belt voter that won due to the EC. Winning the popular by 3MM votes and losing the EC is unprecedented. By a factor of 6.

<This communist nearly lost his leg in France while working for this country (not mil/veteran). I can show pics of the scars related to the 100-odd stitches from the severed achilles and 15 broken bones if anyone is curious.

Agree. But those are the rules.
