What, you mean like having Scottish ancestry, that kind of thing?
Did you watch Braveheart once?
Anyway, GBP gonna go up or down. Regardless of the politics.
There must be something more than a human lifespan, for people to be so passionate about
gaining "their freedom" 700 years later.
Now, the people from Catalognia are getting agitated in Spain.
I am also discovering for some reasons some parts of Norway, as well as Finland are starting to
feel restless as well.
It is great to learn about the FULL European history :
I never saw it in terms of colonies really, except may be during germany in the 1930-1950s
period.
It used to be said that Ireland and Scotland were guinea pigs for any English colonial practices ( Ireland first, then refined in Scotland)
before being refined and exported overseas.
It never occured to me that many Scotts could actually have felt this so strongly about it.
Now it really makes sense : their traditions, their songs, their grievancies.
No Scottish ancestry, just really given a really great time when studying in Glasgow few years ago. They really made a LOT of efforts to make me understand the difference
between Scotland and England for instance.
Basically for 700 years they saw themselves as being colonized, with no freedom.
Now I also understand the split vote between "foreign ancestry-Scott" and "indigenous-Scott" ( at the exception of the French who historically have always sided with
Scottish people whenever English were involved : same pattern in modern times).
