Schonfeld Sec. bad moon rising ???

Ive always been a passive reader on this site and never felt the need to chime in. I just want to get one thing straight, winning is winning, losing is losing, and excuses dont pay the bills. Im not mentioning names, but the unjustified arrogance of some of the traders in this discussion is mind boggling. Why does anyone care if some one is gross positive. All that matters is the bottom line. Opinion is being stated as fact even though it is largely unsubstantiated and heresay. I cant stand the nonsense about making money only three months of the year. I grossed an inordinately large amount of money last year yet had to pay commissions. I have little to show for my lack of sense control. Going foward, the only person that can save me is me, through perseverence, self control, and discipline.

I guess nobody told you the Shoney is unique, in that he pays a percentage of your gross, if your net numbers are poor.

I agree with you!

People talk about gross payout because some firms will pay traders from gross. I used to trade at a prop firm and was paid 20% of my gross because they charged me excessive commissions.

Perseverence, Self contral, and Discipline are key paramaters to work from. Gross positive is only for those Prop firms that pay out base on % gross and % net.

I can see why one could be confused as to why the discusion of the two payouts are important.
 
No, seven or eight daytrading firms came to schoni wanting schoni to buy them out. Of course Schoni steped far away from that bid...
 
I must say that this is by far the most interesting and professional form for traders on the net. The threads, mostly all that i have visited seem to be well thought out and have great discourse.

Of course there is always a little ball busting going on, but hey, im a NYC jew and thats what we do. Nevertheless, my hats off to all that are part of this and other threads on the site.

Great conversation and its about time I find a good group of traders to shoot the sh#t with.
