I might be a bit biased, but I totally disagree about new being better than old. Any company is going to learn with time. Although there may have been some issues with Hold in the past, it's a process and you improve. I think Graybox is the best platform on which I've traded; and, I've traded for some great companies. There are always going to be somethings that you like and dislike about any platform. Unfortunately, this isn't a smorgasbord. One cannot simply take only the things he/she likes from a platform. Hold's Graybox has remarkably fast executions, is user friendly and has great features. CNBC and INC. have reported on this, and I've profited becuase of it.
Regarding new firms, so many have opened and closed their doors as of recent, there's something to be said for a firm that has longevity in this industry. Hold has solid financials, is hyper-compliant and has it's act together. That cannot be said about the bulk of prop firms in the US.
