It is a constant battle K. You'll be back stronger than ever. I really beat myself up when I make a mistake but the next day I have to be over it or I don't trade. The good thing is you came back to break even...Way to go...

I did well today (got my net 2 pts.). :D

I could agree with that

EDIT: Haha, thanks Hezbalah for ruining the call...
Yep, Here is what Yahoo says.

Oil Surpasses $76 As Violence Persists
AP - Oil prices hit a new high above $76 a barrel Thursday in a market agitated by escalating violence in the Middle East. The latest surge in oil shook stock-market investors' confidence, though economists said most U.S. consumers and businesses appear to be absorbing higher energy costs surprisingly well.

Nice one JJ! Have you considered using minimum initial position size @ entry and scaling in on pullbacks?

I see what you're saying especially on a trade like this which is taking its time to "work-out", but what if the trade doesn't pullback? - A 1 hr BRD trade setup last Friday, and it never pulled-back (but it did make its 20 pt target). [chart]

That would increase your stop level for these longer positions, though keeping your risk same as multi-lot trades based on narrow stops . You can perhaps open a second account and use it for your short term trades, diversifying.

If used judiciously, while also taking the more secure 2pt + intraday setups, this method could effectively remove risk from a trading portfolio ... it's pretty tough though, takes a lot capital, requires a lot bookeeping, you'd have to define an "uncle point", while still mainting a profit target that makes taking all that risk worth the effort.

Side Note: Wow, I'm getting my ass seriously kicked here. Moved my stop back 2 pts, break'in all the rules (guess I'd better get to work on the new ones). :(
