Russian Hacking Questions

Don't you entirely miss the point? It does not matter who hacked the DNC and Podesta email accounts. What matters is that such individual or organization exclusively focused their efforts on Democrats but not Republicans. The problem is not about the shit that was unearthed (I am all for disclosure and more information than less) but it is established fact that the leaks were only sought from the Democrat side. That does not bother you or raise eyebrows? In this context it does not matter whether it was the Russians or little critters from Mars

You left out the possibility of it being an dnc insider who leaked the info because he didn't like the corruption and screwing of bernie.

How conveeeeenient.

Sure, so a few Republicans just have to come forward to state they equally were attempted to be baited by phishing attacks. This would totally debunk the allegations that such attempts (call it hacking or Phishing or whatever) were one-sided. Has that happened? If yes then i missed it. Some evidence would of course be very helpful to lend more credibility to such claims

There are several articles on the past week quoting prominent Republicans they also tried to hack or phish.

It takes a village to raise a Russian hacker.

It takes a corrupt village to raise a disgusted DNC insider and provoke him to shell out the dirt.

Lucky for the Republicans that none were dumb enough to click on an obvious phishing scam.

Think about it. How stupid do you have to be to click on an email that says "Change Password"?
Where's the proof this was from the Russian Govt?
Who the hell uses Google mail for secure data?

... Not if a proper investigation can answer any of those questions...

How do you know? Maybe they hacked the republicans and found nothing of real interest. All we can say is a lot of crap came out about the Democrats and the crap that came out was blatantly corrupt and disgusting. Apart from that, all we have is speculation.

I understand that you folks don't like the results of the election, and you'll cling to any shred of evidence that might throw the result into question. I get it. The folks on the right might do the same were the shoe on the other foot, and you folks on the left would be telling them to accept it.

Fact is, no one has proof, everyone has speculation, and the results won't be overturned. Let's just get on with our lives already.

Let's assume the worst, that Russia did hack and release this stuff and they did it to help Trump.

Is the fact that democrats were corrupt and disgusting and the public finally found out about it a reason to invalidate the election? On what possible grounds?

This is beginning to look a lot like the coups the CIA has engineered in other countries over the years. Ukraine for example. Phony street mobs calling for overthrow of the government, and when the government cracks down and restores order, then we get the calls that they are "killing their own citizens." John McCain and Lindsey Graham demand we go to war, and we start secretly funneling weapons to the insurgents/terrorists.

I hope we don't end up having to ask Putin to come in here and rescue us.

Loretta Lynch: We Didn't See Any "Technical Interference" From Russia In The Election

Attorney General Loretta Lynch spoke at an event with Politico's Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman Thursday morning. there, she was asked about reports that Russian hackers could have impacted the results of the 2016 election. Lynch said that there was no evidence that Russian hackers breached the integrity of the U.S. election system.

“Fortunately we didn’t see the sort of technical interference that I know people had concerns about, also, in terms of voting machines and the like,” Lynch said.

LORETTA LYNCH: There's a number of things we do, some of which we talk about publicly, some that we don't talk about publicly, in terms of investigation and the responses that we have.

This was a grave concern to us, so we began in the summer to look at what we could say publicly about this issue, and that is why you saw the intelligence community release its report in October, before the election. Letting the American people know that the intelligence community had determined tha Russia was behind the hacks [of the DNC] itself. The investigation is ongoing, certainly the review is continuing. We rarely do that kind of public attribution, but it was important in that instance because the election effects everyone.

It is not a matter of the results, it is peoples' faith in the integrity of the system. At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security was involved in reaching out to every state to make sure that they had access to every resource they needed to protect the state electoral system as well.

Fortunately we didn’t see the sort of technical interference that I know people had concerns about, also, in terms of voting machines and the like. But a lot of education and training went on about that, and a significant number of states did reach out to DHS and talk to them about these issues.

Great, so when that takes place, and if it finds proof, then you'll be found to be right. Until then, it's all speculation.
