Quote from Gringinho:
Why doesn't the US let Hawaii have it's independence?
And why can't Alaska have their independence?
At least Hawaii was brutally robbed by corrupt privateers, and the native Hawaiians are being marginalized... They have frequent and sometimes violent protests against the US oppression, and Baby Jay Penn MMA wizard is one of their front figures...
Because Russia has just as pathetic and horrific leadership as other western countries, Russia in NO WAY is some pure government with sound leadership.....they are all just pawns in a bigger game.Quote from d08:
Remember, nationalized Russian TV channels are not the only sources for information. Censorship is bad, mkay.
I do not believe Georgia was completely innocent in this (I do think they were the initiators but to what level?) but the Russians clearly knew what was happening and were prepared - why were thousands of tanks deployed near the Georgian border before the conflict began? If it was a conflict regarding S. Ossetia and Abkhazia why were they near Tbilisi?
BTW: Why hasn't Chechnya been allowed independence (whats left of it, after Russia organized genocide)? I'd really like this answered.
Quote from Gringinho:
d08,
are riots in Hawaii happening "a long time ago"?
Was Chechnya just recently "acquired" by the Russians - or did that too "happen a long time ago"?
What is your definition and context for judging things relevant or not - on a timeframe of "long time ago"?
When did Chechnya become part of Russia?
When did Hawaii become part of the USA?
Can you really start claiming some difference like that?
Back on topic...
RTS, MICEX index etc. Any providers in Europe or the US?
Quote from Jayford:
About 5% of Hawaii wants independence. They are just vocal about it. Most of them also want racial based citizenship. Its seriously fucked up. I am 6th generation kamaaina, so I know of which I speak.
I say give em Molokai.

Actually, even Colin Powell yesterday said that it was Saakashvili. But as we know - through support and military advisors, you can get a lot done. Normally there are not the populations that declare war on each other - there are corporations and other interests who do the preliminaries... ALL history shows this.
I did a quite extensive geopolitical systems analysis with regards to the Georgia conflict when it was emerging, and I don't think any of what I said has been wrong as of yet. Even the later reactions by Russia and Europe. Why? Because it makes sense, that's why. That is called "systems intelligence".
