Back in the day I had remote triggered explosive devices that simulated the sound of a shot. I could throw them with a sling or stick well away from my position and make the poachers or whatever junta group think shots were from an impossible distance or a very different angle to them. One time three guys actually did fire at nothing until out. Not a real shot fired at them.

This is a movie but the whole one rifle to two men, when the first is killed the second picks it up thing actually happened. Not much ammo either.


North Korean shells are going to be a problem but it's is a long way from Vladivostok to the front and Ukraine needs to get ahead of that supply chain.
