It will also drive Putin nuts. If the Ukrainians were able to make a strike like this then that means that the bridge is vulnerable too. The Sevastopol base is protected with their best airial defense systems. Yes, they shot down seven missiles, but some obviously got through. It is the same with the Kersch bridge when that eventually is hit, again. Most of the missiles will be shot down. But "most" is not good enough.
The bridge is further away so that makes it harder but Ukraine will eventually get longer range missiles. They have some already that the Russians need to worry about.
