Putin will be left with uneducated, poor or very old Russians. Not a good start for his "new economy" that is going to produce everything themselve. ROFLMAO.

In addition, his "new economy" owes Ukraine at least a couple trillion dollars in reparations after the war and - if he is not careful- his "new economy" will need to rebuild large portions of Moscow and St. Petersburg if NATO has to respond to nuclear threats.

Ten trillion here and ten trillion there, and pretty soon it adds up.

200 Azov soldiers have been freed by exchanging them for one Putin-affiliated Ukrainian oligarch (Medvedchuk) arrested a few months ago. Including Azov commanders and the foreigners that the Russians gave a death sentence to. Good trade.

Update: That Russian General that Ukrainians captured was included in the exchange.

China has distanced itself from Putin- at least in regard to promoting the war.

Now Little Rocket Man is suddenly leaning over backwards to say that they are giving no weapons to Russia.

And Belarus-Boy Lukashenko refuses to send his troops into Ukraine.

Add Kazakstan to the list of former buddies who will not help out.

And Erdogan very vocally says that Crimea belongs to Ukraine and Russia needs to give it back.

I guess that still leaves Iran if Putin needs some hugs- so there is that.

(Traditionally North Korea does some kind of dirty deal for food right before the winter begins. Most likely either the Americans or the UN made him a little offer, backchannel. In the past he has fired rockets into the Sea of Japan like a barking dog to get his bone in the form of food shipments. Don't be surprised if - as we get toward winter- a little bit of "relief" shows up in North Korea.)

SEOUL, Sept 22 (Reuters) - North Korea on Thursday said it has never supplied weapons or ammunition to Russia and has no plans to do so, while warning the United States to "keep its mouth shut" and stop circulating rumours aimed at "tarnishing" the country's image.

"Recently, the U.S. and other hostile forces talked about the 'violation of a resolution' of the UNSC, spreading a 'rumour of arms dealings' between the DPRK and Russia ... We have never exported weapons or ammunition to Russia before and we will not plan to export them," KCNA quoted the country's vice director general of the General Bureau of Equipment of the Ministry of National Defence as saying in a statement, without naming the official.

What do you think about the idea of voting Russia out of the UN, ignoring their veto, until Putin ends the war and agrees to reasonable rules related to a large and long term DMZ? After all, if Putin will not uphold international law, why should anyone else when it comes to Russia?

The lost of UN veto power and a near unified front should cause Putin to lose prestige within his inner circle, increasing pressure on him to end his illegal war on Ukraine. That is the stick. As a practical matter, although completely undeserved, is the carrot. While Russia must not gain from their fastest invasion against Ukraine, would a return to the status quo in regards to borders be reasonable? Should a choice of reparations with reestablishment of trade or no reparations, no trade deal be given? Should Ukraine’s potential NATO status or other alliance possibilities be addressed in full?
