The mobilization will see 300,000 reservists drafted, The Washington Post reported, citing officials. Conscripts and students will not be called up and will affect only those with combat experience, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

"The territorial integrity of our motherland, our independence, and freedom will be secured, I repeat with all the means we have," Putin said, per the outlet.

Pro-Russian separatist officials in four occupied regions in eastern and southern Ukraine announced on Tuesday that they would hold referendums on joining Russia within the next few days. Ukrainian officials in response slammed the referendum as a "sham" and said it won't change anything.

Interesting to see Pooty-Boy's shift in language over to "protecting the territorial integrity of RUSSIA" now. Helloooooo Pooty Boy. This was supposed to be a special military operation into Ukraine.

Yeh, I get that he needs to do that along with re-defining the enemy as NATO in order to whip up the home front and justify his actions. The pickle he is in though......is that he is telling the people that if they sign up or are called up that they are fighting NATO now rather than just the nazis and drag queens in Ukraine. Probably does not have a good look to it for them.

Ruskies have come a long way from being welcomed as liberators with bread and salt to nuclear war with NATO.

Let’s see what they can actually scrounge together through mobilization. It Should take a good amount of time but I’d be short on their ability to field 300k this year. I read somewhere the Russians have lost an estimated 57,000 troops so far. They are getting to a point where everyone is going to know someone who was lost in Ukraine. It’s going to be a tough row to hoe down at the recruiting office in Moscow.

I don't see a problem for them. Draft age is now up to age 65.
