Yep. The press is piling on to poor Vlad a bit with the Hitler analogies just to rattle his cage a bit.
My take on some of the grim looking pictures of Putin of late- in addition to just the stress- are simply related to is paranoia when he sits close to people. The press piled on to him for all those pictures where he was sitting fifty feet away so he countered that a bit by having some meetings with people close-up but those were a disaster. He was biting his lip, fidgeting, gripping the table like he was on a roller coaster. Just your basic paranoia, he prefers the fifty foot mode.
But the press is rattling his cage for sport these days and the hitler theories are gaining ground. That's fine. I am hoping they will start publishing of his girlfriend there Miss Gymnast with all her boyfriends in Sweden or Switzerland just to rattle him some more. Maybe publish some fake quotes attributed to her about what a limp dick and evil bastard Putin is- "according to sources." Yeh, my standards are pretty low today in regard to Putin. Anything is fair game.

Rumors become stronger and stronger that Putin will announce on may,9 total mobilisation for the war against "NATO and Ukraine". So it is not anymore a special action.
Any Russian with some brains left (will be difficult to find) will understand that the special action is a complete failure.
They will also understand that Putin lied all the time. Russians seem not to be very keen to go and fight in Ukraine. They have a big mouth about Russian power but are scared as hell to go to Ukraine.

So in other words you have an entire generation of young men (like very young) who thought they were going to be working for some western IT company as such companies continued to expand into Russia but now they are going to be called up to either kill or rape grannies or children in Ukraine.
Some of those guys need to go full American- ie. find an old VW van, put a flower decal on the side, find a hippy chick and roll on out of there. Unless killing grandma and 3-month old babies is your thing. Sure, every 18-year old who wants to spend the summer in a trench or a body bag in the Donbass raise your right hand.
I imagine the VW vans in Russia are in about as good shape as their military equipment. We would expect no less.

The Ukrainian secret service has announced that it has reached the number of Russian soldiers killed in the war through wiretaps. The identities of the Russian soldiers who were caught eavesdropping were not disclosed. According to the report, the Ukrainian side has publicly shared the evidence supporting this claim. The Ukrainian secret service, which listens for telephone conversations of Russian soldiers, has released the transcript of these calls. During the search in question, a Russian soldier can be heard saying that 25,900 soldiers were killed in the war and in just 2 months’ time.
In another part of the captured call, a second soldier describes the death of their senior commander with the words: ‘The brigade commander was blown up. His intestines were out. They sent a helicopter to rescue him, but his heart couldn’t take it anymore.’ In the last report published by Ukraine, it was reported that the number of Russian soldiers killed in the war is approaching 23 thousand. Western sources state that this number is between 7 and 15 thousand, while Moscow made its first and last official statement on the issue on March 2. Dec. Ukrainians get unexpected help from Russians. Russians kill their own soldiers.
Maybe Putin and the oligarchs can send their sons, or sons in law too. They will probably be hiding and let marginals Russians do the dangerous job. According to Putin they should be executed too? And Putin will hide in his bunker.
