Too many people are missing this. The Ruskies under Putin aren't going to back off, and Ukraine can't beat them on their own. More military help for them means more death and destruction as the whole place gets pancaked. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't for sure. If I'm in charge here's what I do. Back off, let the Ruskies occupy. Then bleed them relentlessly with the guerilla resistance and expect the rest of the world to bleed them economically. I don't think Putin can last too long in that scenario before his own people take him out. The risk is the rest of the world, especially the United states moves on to the next crisis and Ukraine is left hanging. That happens and we are as much of a disgrace as Putin is.
