Russia & Ukraine

At a Moscow shopping mall Wednesday, a young couple lining up for cash at an ATM said they opposed the war. And yet they said that the way the world was punishing them for it was not fair, either, considering that the United States had fought its own wars in recent decades without coming under harsh international sanctions.

This is a problem, and how Russians (and Ukrainians, by the way) feel.

The Comrade embarrased himself with that one. Looking lame.

The he goes on and asks in five different ways what Trump did to keep Russia from invading Ukraine. Ahh, how bout by being Trump for starters. Work with that a little.

Then the Comrade goes into this rap about how it was known for a long time that Ukraine would invade. And the White House rubs it in by saying that they have known since October as to time frame. So why is the administration just fumbling around trying to find ways to increase arm shipments to them then?

Nevermind. Your ilk just look at a situation and decide what the best way to weaken the country would be and then that is what you do. You did it with Putin. You did it with China and keep doing it. You did it at the border. You did it with killing energy independence. You did it with crime. You did it with inflation. And on and on and on. Whatever would weaken the country the most is what you will want to do.

Trump being Trump? Which Trump? The Ukrainian extorted or the secret Trump tower meeting with a Russian agent Trump?

You talk about embarrassment as if Trump isn’t a known quantity and totally exposed. We are lucky in this matter Trump is not the president.

One of the bigger stories no one is paying attention to.

Funny you should mention that. I was at a little get together last Saturday with some friends, one being a construction project manager, and we were trading our previous nightmare projects stories. He is now in Ohio building some enormous EV plant for GM. Anyhoo, he was telling me about his soon to be next assignment in Michigan where a Potash plant/mine is slated for construction later this year. First one built in the United states in 30 years. Someone is looking ahead.

Obviously "we" is not Ukranian or American.

Just keep listening to your thought-leader, pundit, Kamala Harris.

"Russia is a country. Ukraine is a country that is next to Russia."

Jesuzzz H. I am just happy she did not put it in ebonics or put a bouncing ball on the screen for her base to follow along with.

Dude, I appreciate where you are coming from.
They are in a noble fight, and if I had grown up there, I'd probably already be a statistic, but again, their noble fight should not endanger millions of other lives which is exactly what could happen if the west keeps flooding them with arms that in the end, may wipe out tons of Russian equipment and personnel, but will ultimately decimate the entire country. Putin's not gonna say uncle. He's not. So yes, their patriotism and bravery are unmatched in our lifetime, but again, bigger picture, and that bigger picture is the longer this drags on, the greater the threat to the west. This is a fact, and all the armament in the world won't change it, and it will ultimately lead to the utter ruin of that country and an exponentially larger loss of innocent life and human suffering.
Too many people are missing this. The Ruskies under Putin aren't going to back off, and Ukraine can't beat them on their own. More military help for them means more death and destruction as the whole place gets pancaked. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't for sure. If I'm in charge here's what I do. Back off, let the Ruskies occupy. Then bleed them relentlessly with the guerilla resistance and expect the rest of the world to bleed them economically. I don't think Putin can last too long in that scenario before his own people take him out. The risk is the rest of the world, especially the United states moves on to the next crisis and Ukraine is left hanging. That happens and we are as much of a disgrace as Putin is.

Is Mosaic the customer for that mine?

And what would have happened had Biden not been elected? More attempted extortion of Zelensky by Trump? Or Congress having to force Trump to arm the Ukrainians like in the past?

You all have a failure of memory. The most likely outcome with Trump, who would have been in second term, would have been no American response and a divided NATO. Ukraine would have been a cakewalk for Russia had Trump been re-elected.

Who's making that garbage argument? TFT I bet. Has that guy ever been right about anything?
