Russia & Ukraine

Correct. Nato would still be divided and just flopping around trying to figure out what their role in the world is. Because they would not have been unified by an outright attack by Putin.

Only one person in this world has united Nato. And that is Vladimir Putin - not Joe Biden.

If you voted for Biden, you voted for the invasion of Ukraine. 100% discussed and 100% predictable, now 100% in progress.

Garbage. This is the equivalent of “the WMDs were moved to Syria.” Trump is a Russian sympathizer. He tried to put the screws to Zelensky, remember?

Just a fictional account of how China realizes eventually that it wants to take parts of Russia that border China and the resources of those areas on the premise that these areas are "ethnically close to China" rather than Russia. Seems rather similar to Putin's justification.

Ironically, it is this military incursion that China launches on to Russia that actually has Russia ask for help from..wait for it...the US and NATO.

Sure. @TreeFrogTrader will tell you when countries get in deep with the Chinese airports and mineral rites start to disappear.

But typically that's Africa and other poorer nations. To do that to a nuclear power is a different ballgame.

But I could see a desperate Russia selling those rights out of need.

This is levels of Neville Chamberlain beyond Neville Chamberlain on steroids. This Neville Chamberlain with infinity rings.

It may not be for you but people will instinctively fight to protect their land. People don’t want their families subjected to oppression and tyranny. The Ukrainians are in a noble fight. They should never surrender.
Dude, I appreciate where you are coming from.
They are in a noble fight, and if I had grown up there, I'd probably already be a statistic, but again, their noble fight should not endanger millions of other lives which is exactly what could happen if the west keeps flooding them with arms that in the end, may wipe out tons of Russian equipment and personnel, but will ultimately decimate the entire country. Putin's not gonna say uncle. He's not. So yes, their patriotism and bravery are unmatched in our lifetime, but again, bigger picture, and that bigger picture is the longer this drags on, the greater the threat to the west. This is a fact, and all the armament in the world won't change it, and it will ultimately lead to the utter ruin of that country and an exponentially larger loss of innocent life and human suffering.

I'm with Usualname on this. Ukrainians and Russians were the same people thirty years ago. You'll never meet one of either people that wouldn't give their life in an instant for the Motherland. Its in their DNA.

Get back to me about when Russia took Ukraine under Trump.

Obama, Crimea, gonzo. Biden, Ulkraine, gonzo.

Not sure that millions of Ukranians thought that giving their lives to the Russian motherland would look like this.

if you mean defending it from the Russians, maybe not. But their desire to defend it nonetheless is a helluva lot stronger than average Americans would be if Russians were invading - say, California.

They ARE the same people... and therein lies another point I wanted to make....

Biden missed a golden opportunity in his speech the other night.
He should have reached out to the Russian people. I know there exists a great firewall, but it would have got thru soon enough.

"And to the Russian people, America is with you. This is not about you, you are a proud and brave culture that is ensconced in a history of overcoming hardships that others would have readily fallen under.
But right now you are not free to live the life you're entitled to, you are under the thumbs of an evil few who care not for you, but only for themselves and their wealth..... "

Pile it on from there. Go full psyops and give Putin a taste of his own medicine. Inspire the people to rise up against him. Let them know the world is with them.

The whole world knew Russia and Ukraine was coming to a head, they have been in a shooting war for 8 years prior to this. Taiwan too. If anything Biden is dealing with Trump’s lack of leadership and the outcome of empowering Putin through fracturing NATO.

If Trump was the only person who could have stood up to Russia and prevented a war, why didn’t he get the Russians out of Crimea?

What did trump so in his four years that would make any reasonable person believe the Russians wouldn’t be taking Ukraine one way or another?

Trump had to be forced to release arms to Ukraine

Trump tried to extort Zelensky! That’s the whole Vindman fiasco phone call Trump was impeached for, THE FIRST TIME!

Don’t come to me with these stupid arguments. I get they play well on Facebook but Trump was in heavy with Russians and tried to extort the Ukrainians.

There is nothing you can point to that says Trump would have prevented Russia from taking Ukraine. Zero.
