Allow me to educate you concerning Marines. We are allergic to bullsh*t, and you Trader666, reek of it. So, when we see or hear bullsh*t we call it out. I've seen your bullsh*t and I've called it out. Since I am human there is the possibility that I have the wrong impression but nothing you've said to date makes me believe I do.
You ask for respect but you insult EVERYONE who disagrees with you (Paultard, pussy pacifist, etc). One need only glance at the last few pages of this thread to see that. Further, you display none of the camaraderie or mutual respect that the rest of us brothers in arms show each other. RCG and I don't always agree but you don't see us speaking to each other in the manner which you engage people. Do you know why? Because there is a mutual respect for having served, and you don't seem to share it. It is a respect that transcends differences of political opinion, yet you do not seem to have it.
Now, when this came up several weeks ago you initially declined to provide any details concerning your service. Many of us did and we all followed the same format. We provided basic information that service members tend to identify with. At first you refused, but then you gave some flowery rendition of uli knots and mentioned that your combat experience was something you did not wish to discuss. Fine.
Honestly, I did not believe you (because your answer was unnecessarily vague) but like I stated at the time I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Immediately after that point I changed my tone towards you. I attempted to remain respectful in spite of your vitriol and hostility. You changed nothing. You continued to bring up the chicken hawk comment every time you ran out of ammunition. You did this in a manner akin to a girlfriend nagging her boyfriend about the chick he slept with five years ago. This only reinforced my belief that you were full of sh*t. Then you had the audacity to suggest I was being dishonest about my background? Fine, let's see who's really being dishonest.
The verification process I've suggested is more than fair. It affords both of us the opportunity to present before this community evidence to back up our respective claims. Further, it does this in as neutral a way as possible (i.e.: I'm not asking you to take my friend's word for it, and vice versa). There are people on this forum who know me in real life and could easily back up what I've said, but I understand that would not be sufficient. I am applying the same standard to myself as I would apply to you (I try to avoid hypocrisy).
Where I come from when you make a claim you back it up. I do this with my arguments as a matter of routine. I have rarely seen you back up anything you assert. Clearly, you come from somewhere else. So, the question remains, are you man enough to back up your word or are you nothing but a Chicken Hawk Zionist shill pretending to be an American combat vet? I believe the latter.
This is your opportunity to prove me wrong and if you do, I will write you a one page public apology. I still won't agree with your warped perspective on things but you will have at least gained a measure of respect. I know you said you aren't trying to influence anyone here but you and I both know that's bullsh*t. If you wish to have any credibility when you advocate for your positions you know what you have to do, there is no getting around it.
So what do you say? Do you want to drop the "discretion and class" bullsh*t facade (seriously, that was funny though), or do you wish to continue on your present course of obfuscation?

DAS has recently said he did not care if Ron Paul is racist. Lucrum said the same thing. I swung at Lukie, and ignored DAS. Why?
Because if you had the stones to go the MEPS and swear in, I figure you get the right to offend me. I might be mad, but we are both part of the reason we can have this argument, so I am in fact glad that I am mad
While I don't disrespect civilians, I respect the brotherhood, if that makes sense.

In my mind, since I don't have the stones to jump out of C130, but you do have the stones to hang out of a blackhawk, I personally would shout this from the rooftops.
