Romney Looks Like the Next Pres

Quote from Tsing Tao:

Can't you guys just agree that the race is "close" and you'll be fighting over each poll every day as a new one comes out? Enjoy the race. Let's have some debates and see if it continues to be neck and neck.
May I ask then, would you consider Romney's non-christian faith an issue in the end, enough to sway a close vote, or will people generally consider religion as not all that relevant these days ?

My personal belief is that it simply is not a big deal given the much larger issues in play.

I'm speaking as a Catholic. If you think that the Christian right would rather choose Obama over a Mormon Republican, then you are looking at different demographics than I am.

Obama debating skills

It was FAR easier to debate a bumbling McCain in a year where Obama was the guy going against Bush policies than it will be to debate Romney when Obama has very little to show over the past few years. FAR easier. Don't delude yourself.

Obama Goes To GOP Lions' Den -- And Mauls The Lions

President Obama traveled to a House Republican retreat in Baltimore on Friday and delivered a performance that was at once defiant, substantive and engaging. For roughly an hour and a half, Obama lectured GOP leaders and, in a protracted, nationally-televised question-and-answer session, deflected their policy critiques, corrected their misstatements and scolded them for playing petty politics. (Full video and transcript available HERE.)

White House officials told the Huffington Post they were absolutely ecstatic. MSNBC's Luke Russert, who was on the scene in Baltimore, relayed that a Republican official and other GOP aides had confided to him that allowing the "cameras to roll like that" was a "mistake."

So effective was the president that Fox News cut away from the broadcast 20 minutes before it ended.

Obama Ambush Leads To Cancellation Of Bi-Partisan Summit

Politico:

The roots of the partisan standoff that led to the postponement of the bipartisan White House summit scheduled for Thursday date back to January, when President Barack Obama crashed a GOP meeting in Baltimore to deliver a humiliating rebuke of House Republicans.

Obama’s last-minute decision to address the House GOP retreat – and the one-sided televised presidential lecture many Republicans decried as a political ambush – has left a lingering distrust of Obama invitations and a wariness about accommodating every scheduling request emanating from the West Wing, aides tell POLITICO.

Unless one of these stooges makes a HUGE gaff the debates won't move the needle much at all. It's a very close race and will more than likely be determined by voter turnout. High turnout, Obama wins. Low turnout, Romney wins. With voter apathy currently at high levels, Romney looks like the favorite.

And all this time I thought Odumbo was running against Romney.
